those you loved and lost

This is a card swap for anyone who's lost someone you loved deeply. It's a chance to talk about and celebrate that person's life. I'm still grieving the loss of my brother who left this world only two months ago. I thought this swap would be healing for myself and others. I think it would be good to be able to talk about him and some of my memories with him. I hope that it will bring the same comfort to anyone else here who would like to do the same. Your loss doesn't have to be recent, you do not have to share the details about what happened or talk about anything painful to you in regards to the loss. All that matters is that you are welcomed to share whatever you are comfortable with about the person (or persons) you love and miss so much.

To make this easy on ourselves I'm making it sender's choice. The card can be store bought or hand made. You can write a brief note in the card or write as long as you feel like sharing on extra pieces of paper. Include a picture if you want to, but that is completely optional.

The main thing I ask is that no one flakes on this. It's a sensitive topic and would be so hurtful to be flaked on, so please don't join unless you can commit to sending. It's newbie friendly as long as you have a fully filled out profile and a couple flat mail swaps rated. I will check profiles just so no one here has to worry. Also, be kind when rating, because again, this is sensitive.

I also plan to do more of these around the holidays because I realize that will be a time when memories will surface and we might need an outlet to talk about the person we wish could be with us at those times.
