Description:

I apologize for the short lapse in group swaps! Let's fix that right away.

This is going to be a quick turn-around swap.

For this swap, we will make something for our partner. Something. Anything. What have you been creating lately? Altered postcards? Garland? Handmade note card and envelopes? Zines? Zentangles? Knitting? Whatever you're into these days. This swap is intended to get our creative juices flowing, or keep them flowing if you've been crafty lately.

Nearly anything handmade by you can be sent, with a couple of requirements:

  • the item must be handmade by you (recently or not)

  • the item must be larger than a playing card or ATC, that's right, no ATCs (also no inchies or artistamps). Bookmarks are okay, as long as they are handmade & more than just a piece of laminated card stock.

It can be made before partners are assigned, since it's what you're crafting lately. Maybe you have some extra (----) from a swap you recently participated in?

If you send a handmade note card, the envie must be handmade as well. ~ If you send an altered postcard, do NOT send it naked. Send it in another envelope so your partner may use it if they want. ~ If you send garland, it must be 24 inches (2 feet) or longer and each individual "strand" doesn't have to be larger than a playing card because it will be longer. ~ You can send a zine, as long as its larger than 2.5x3.5 inches (that's standard ATC size, right?) ~ You can make a zentangle, as long as the tangled dimensions are larger than 2.5x3.5. I could go on, but you get the idea, right?

I realize that some handmade items require more work than others, i.e. one altered postcard might not be as time intensive as 2 feet of handmade garland. (Not that an altered postcard can't be amazing.) This is where the hearts come in. You'll be able to tell if your partner just threw something together or if they put some effort into it, so rate accordingly.

I'm giving just under a week to sign-up and then a few days to send (hence a quick turn-around swap). Just because its fast doesn't mean it can't be quality! This swap is meant to keep you crafting, and not give you yet another thing to do. It can be something from your stash that you've already made!

Usual group rules apply & I'll check profiles before assigning partners.
