Description:

Wouldn't it be great to send a postcard and see where it had been all around the world? Then get it returned back to you after its adventures were over? Let's do it!

IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST ROUND:

Choose a card. A card that you think people would enjoy seeing (the bigger, the better). Put your name and address on the right hand side of the card. Put the title of the swap (Adventures of the Traveling Postcard) at the top of the left hand side. PUT IT IN AN ENVELOPE and send it off to your partner. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

IF YOU PARTICIPATED IN THE PREVIOUS ROUND:

Write your name, username, city, state/country, on the left hand side of the postcard you received in the previous round. Put it in an envelope and send it to your partner!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Every month, we will have another round. When the left side of the postcard is filled up with the names and cities of those that have received the postcard, the last person will stamp your actual postcard and send it back to you.
Only join if you are awesome and a non-flaker. Well-established folks ONLY and I will ban if I feel that you may be a questionable swapper. I want to do my best to ensure that everyone receives their postcard back! So don't join if you don't think you can commit to it for the long haul, K? I will be checking EVERYONE'S profile. Additionally, if you haven't logged in in over a week, I will be forced to ban you, as well. Thanks and happy swapping!
Signed up for round 2, love this swap :)
magicinker 11/16/2012 #
Is it that every month,whatever PC we recieve we send to a different partner?
AnnieMaxine 11/16/2012 #
Yes, magicinker. The postcard you receive, you will send out in the next round!
MichelleWillow 11/16/2012 #
What if, by chance, we get in a 2nd round the same partner to send to as the one we received from in 1st round?
AnnieMaxine 11/16/2012 #
I feel like that would be really really rare, as there have been more than 20 swappers in each of these rounds. If this happens, contact me and we will see what we can do about it.
Apelser 11/17/2012 #
Yeah - I received my partner from Round 1's postcard today!
This is really a cool idea!!! But, don't you mean to write your name, addy and swap name on the left side of the card? On the far right is where it is stamped, or am I not thinking right? lol
bettflow09 12/ 2/2012 #
Oh wait wait wait.....got it!!! Sorry, I had to read it twice, lol. Sorry for being so dingy, lol.
Jujubelle 12/ 5/2012 #
I would love to be part of this swap (I hope it doesn't matter that I just joined swap-bot)!
AnnieMaxine 12/ 5/2012 #
This is for more seasoned swappers only. Sorry!
MichelleWillow 12/ 5/2012 #
It would be fun if everyone could add a little bit on the postcard, like air mail label from one country, country based sticker from another, etc. until the last person, who sends back adds postage stamp. :) I'm first to sign Marcia's PC, she's from the States, and I just added Croatian air mail label for her. In this way she could get a little bit of each country on her postcard. :) What do you think?
suesuzieq 12/ 5/2012 #
I am sending just a regular 4x6 pc, that's not very big. I'm hoping everyone will write real small so that it can do more traveling before it is returned. We'll see just how far it travels.
AnnieMaxine 12/ 5/2012 #
Just make sure you leave plenty of room for people to write their names and locations...it could start to get really cluttered really quickly if we add lots of other things on it!
Whippet 12/ 5/2012 #
This is a great idea - a traveling postcard.
I've received several of these traveling postcards over the years, added my name, address, postage & sent the postcard on thru the mail without an envelope.
Want to mention that all the traveling postcards I've received were large postcards - 4"x 6" & larger, required more postage than normal postal rate, needed space to add name & address, write something.
Problems with a few postcards - large address stickers, sticker(s) added, large writing, rubberstamping, postcard not sent around in an envelope.
Since the pc's are in an envelope you can add extra's in it!
