Description:

This is the 23rd swap in the series of shared journal swaps. Here's what happens:

IF YOU TOOK PLACE IN THE FIRST THROUGH TWENTY-SECOND ROUNDS: you have received a journal with a bio, a journal entry, and a journal prompt. Your task now is to answer that journal prompt, write a bio about yourself, and a journal entry to include a response to what your partner wrote, and then end with a journal prompt for the next person to answer, and then send your journal off to your partner.

IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST ROUND: Please feel free to join even if you didn't take part from the start. What you will do is get a journal, notebook, comp book, anything with at least 80 pages and on the front cover, write what the journal is for and who you are, on the back page write your name and address and where to send the journal home when it is full. Then you will write a bio about yourself (about a page or so) and then one journal entry about your day, your self, your thoughts, life, the world, whatever comes to mind that you want to write about. On the next page you will then write one journal prompt for your partner to answer. That's it; send it off to your partner!

FOR THE FINE PRINT: I will be going through everyone's ratings, etc, to check over and prevent any issues or flakers on this swap. I've been flaked on already in this swap but didn't want the coordinator to angel as I had a spare journal in hand. I will angel if necessary, but am COUNTING on everyone upholding their end of this swap! In order to join, you must have a very complete profile as well as have completed a bare minimum of 5 mail swaps (type 3 swaps). I will ban people if they have recently flaked on any of these swaps. There's been several flakers and I'm adding more to my list. Hang in there with me right now, as I'm in the process of finalizing wedding plans (wedding on Christmas Eve!) so things are a little out of whack right now!!

You will have two weeks to send out your journal. Feel free to p.m. me if there are any questions! Let's fill up those journals that are out there!!

If anyone has my journal - Susan Marr from San Francisco or smmarrty on Swap-bot, please email me. I'd love to get it back and I will send you a new journal for exchanging.

Thanks.

schin 11/26/2012 #

I have @mermeredith journal :)

kkrriiissyy 11/28/2012 #

I have Ashley Bergman's journal! :)

savannahjan 11/30/2012 #

I have Heidi Brook's journal. Which says it was from #19, but only has two entries. Happy to add to it!

kromo 11/30/2012 #

I have a journal from Suzi Smart - no swap bot name that I have seen but I have not read it yet. Wanted to make sure I got on and noted it before the next swap. Sent mine out today. Hope it ends up here (crossing my fingers).

LilyM 12/ 3/2012 #

I won't be entering any of these until I find out what happened to the 3 journals I already have floating around out there somewhere. I was flaked on in this swap more than any others I had joined despite the fact that I thought it was going to be such fun, I talked my sister into joining and the same thing happened to her and we have no idea what came of our journals.

Carrie2108 12/ 3/2012 #

Choklitasprin .....I have your journal!

Cubsfanjennie 12/ 4/2012 #

Anyone have mine? Cubsfanjennie.....

savannahjan 12/ 4/2012 #

I wish someone would let me know about mine. I know it was just a composition book, but it cost $10 dollars at the Garden of the Gods gift shop! Not only is it an emotional investment, but also a financial one! :)

KateKintail 12/ 4/2012 #

I've got @kromo s (which she knows already, as this is its first stop). I'm excited to send it onward!

cykia 12/ 4/2012 #

I have @pandxa s journal.

mcovey 12/ 5/2012 #

anyone have mine , I would love to rejoin this journey

bansley 12/ 5/2012 #

This will be my first Journal swap and I am so excited! I look forward to many more in the future and can't wait to see the finish result of mine :)

Thanks @JenL for answering all my questions!

Cubsfanjennie 12/12/2012 #

Bluginhm....I have yours!!! It's all filled out and ready to go for this time!!!! ;)

MamaK 12/13/2012 #

Dumb question, but so everyone has their own journal and get it back when it full? This could be awesome!!! Is it just between 2 people? Thanks in advance for the help

schin 12/13/2012 #

Does anyone have my journal? :(

bansley 12/16/2012 #

@MamaK That is my understanding, yes. It's not just between two people, it's between all of us, eventually. This round we'll only send to one person and receive from one person, but so long as you continue to sign up for future Shared Journal Swaps, yours will (hopefully) continue to get passed around and filled up and you will continue writing in others and sending them off!

PinkArt300M 12/16/2012 #

Does anyone have my journal? This will be last swap unless I know my work is going to return my journal in my mailbox? Thanks for understanding.

MissCharlieD 12/17/2012 #

I haven't received my november journal yet, and no response from the person who was supposed to send it to me. Do I wait for a response, or make a new one for this swap??

AmericanHeiress 12/17/2012 #

Has anyone seen my journal? It is a French Themed Journal with a vintage pix of The Eiffel Tower on it. And are we gonna start swapping. Its almost 2 days past the switcheroo? My journal is totally ready to be posted and sent on its way.

JenL 12/18/2012 #

MissCharlieD - why don't you start another one? Thanks!

latentsmile 12/18/2012 #

I am still waiting to receive the last swap...still marked as unsent. :( I will start a new one if need be. :( :( :(

MzNavi 12/18/2012 #

This is my first time doing this swap and I'm a bit confused about the prompt part. Are we supposed to tell them what to write for their entry? Like a question or something? Can someone please give me an example? I promise I won't use that prompt.

savannahjan 12/18/2012 #

@MzNavi the first thing you do is a bio/intro. Then you write a journal entry. Then you provide a prompt for the next person who gets your journal. A prompt can be a question they'll answer, could be a, "You walk into your back yard and see..." type sentence, anything like that.

Don't forget all your contact info in the front and/or back of the journal.

pyropae 12/19/2012 #

I have @HeidiJean journal.

MzNavi 12/20/2012 #

@savannahjan Thank you so much!

choklitasprin 12/20/2012 #

I haven't gotten one quite yet, but I hope it comes soon!

lattejust4me 12/31/2012 #

I'm sending mine out today to @sdowner - sorry for the delay in getting it out. I'm sending out @carrie2108 's journal.

mcovey 01/ 2/2013 #

skippydancer 01/ 6/2013 #

kelseyellen 01/ 6/2013 #

I haven't gotten anything yet :(

Cubsfanjennie 01/ 7/2013 #

I just clicked off that I sent my journal. It actually went out on the 28th. I just totally forgot to mark sent. Sorry guys!!!!

lattejust4me 01/ 8/2013 #

I am willing to coordinate the next round of this to give our newly wed coordinator a break.
