Description:

Okay I love to join the lyric journal swaps hosted by draco but I hate having to send away the journal. I always get journals in return but I have decided I want to create a journal that I can add to. So here's what we're gonna do.

Get a binder or expandable journal that will hold 8 1/2 x 11" sized pages. you can decorate it or not it's up to you. it is yours to keep at home. as this series of swaps go along you will be adding pages to it.

Now comes the swapping part. For this round you will write out the lyrics to two funny songs. Please handwrite the lyrics and do not type them. You can decorate the pages as well but you do not have to. Be sure they are on 8 1/2 x 11" paper. Be sure to include the name of the artist as well as the title of the songs. One song per page please.

Every round we will add two pages.

We will leave this fairly open. Rating requirement 4.7. I know this is kinda low but I believe in giving everyone a chance. I will angel if I need to. I hope the rating doesn't stop anyone from joining in fear of being flaked on. I do reserve the right to ban anyone I think is questionable. If you have ever flaked in one of my swaps pm me or I will ban you. Newbies welcome. Everyone has to start somewhere.

I like this idea a lot. Not just because you rarely get journals back, but also because it is cheaper :)

Should we use lined paper? Also, if it is not three-hole punched, should we hole punch it?

Watching for now :) This is a great idea, unfortunately I have been flaked on when doing lyric journal swaps, so I don't actually have one! This is a great way to build up a journal without the costs piling up or not receiving a journal at all <3

Do we write the lyrics on two separate sheets of paper or one on each side?

Mamabemus 12/ 5/2012 #

@AnnieMaxine I'm not sure how to answer the hole question. Can we have a show of hands please

holes or no holes?

I also believe lined paper is okay, some people cannot write straight without the lines. But unlined paper is also okay.

@emilyjane the songs should be on two separate pages of paper, so that the receiver can organize their journal however they want and they may not want to keep these two songs together.

Thanks for the great questions!!!

So by lined paper, we are talking looseleaf? That would have holes. The only way I could participate in a handwritten swap would be on looseleaf.

@bookwyrmm I am okay with looseleaf. I don't see anyone else objecting either so I say go with it.

Should we send the songs folded up in regular envelopes?

And is it ok for some of the lyrics to have to go on the back side of the paper, or should we try to avoid that?
