Our Weird Books- An Easy Swap for Early 2013

Hi Library Ladies!

@beadqueene suggested a fun idea for a simple swap. She wrote that we should, "Take a picture of a funny book in our collections and email it to our partner. I come across some hilarious books when I'm doing collection maintenance ;)"

Thank you for the good idea, beadqueene. I frequently see books in the collection and think, oh dear....why did anyone ever get/keep this one. :)

This swap is open to all members in good standing.

1) Photograph the cover and/or spine of a funny, odd, extremely outdated or just plain strange book in your library's collection. If you are not currently working in a library or you want to take an alternate approach, you can find a book at a library that you visit or photograph a title in your personal books collection.

2) E-mail the photograph to your partners with a brief note about why you selected that book.

3) You can send more than one photograph if you have lots of strange books, but one photograph is all that is required.

That's it! Since some of us will be away for the holidays, I'll make a fairly long required send date for this one. But you can send earlier if you want!
