Description:

For this swap, we will be creating a goodie box of some of our favorite things we use in homeschooling.

You can include your favorite pencils, puzzles, games, quick-make recipes, flash cards, a planner.... And, you can also really let your creative juices flow and make something for your swap partner. How about a list of favorite websites? A zine teaching a favorite science experiment? A homemade craft kit?

This should be a fun share. Lot's of possibilities to fit into one surprise box. :)

I will not be adding a monetary value for this swap. We are homeschoolers, and we are creative. We know how to stretch a penny and how to make what we don't have. To give you an idea where to start as far as quantity, the minimum should be a shoebox sized box filled with goods. You are welcome to do more, but this is the minimum.

Join this swap for the pleasure of making an extraordinary package for a fellow homeschooler and the package you receive will be a bonus!

To help our partner, let's list the ages of the kids we homeschool in the comments section, so our partner will be able to send stuff that will be most useful to our schooling.

I like this idea. I just don't think a week is enough time to put together such a large package of awesomeness- is that a word? specific to our partners kids. Please extend the time and I can consider it more seriously.

Pickleme, so glad to see u are interested in the swap. You can start putting stuff together now for the swap and top it off with age specific things once partners are assigned. I will extend the ship date by another week, though, to allow u copious time to awesome it up to the max. :)

The ages of my crew are as follows: 8 year old girl, 6 year old girl, and 6 year old boy (Yes, they're twins! :))

@smallwood I love this idea! (I even thought of a theme within your theme. :D) :) I'm deciding whether to have the courage to maybe get a Canadian partner though. ;) My best friend is Canadian and my last two packages to her (October & December) took nearly a whole month to reach her, which was nearly double what it took in the past. Also, unsure what the postal rates are going to do with the upcoming change. Hm. :)

anandatashie: Wow! A month?! I haven't shipped a package to Canada before...I don't think. I can make this USA Only to start with and anyone else is welcome to host an International one.

Awesome. :)

My kids are: 9 year old boy, 6 year old girl, & 3 year old boy.

Smallwood. What if there is an uneven amount of participants. Does one person have to send out two?

smallwood 01/24/2013 #

@grandmavalerie No. The person you send to may not be the person you receive from. Each person will only send out one box. :)

thanks for response Smallwood. The reason I asked is because I homeschooled my daughters and nephews 25 years ago and I'm not homeschooling anyone at the moment but have saved alot of homeschooling stuff and I make wood project kits...and was willing to share my old school goodies with someone, but didn't really need to receive one. On that note I was going to offer"giving" if you got stuck or I think you call it angel-ing. HOMESCHOOLING Rules!!! It's the best gift and footing in life I could have ever given them!! <3

I have a 10 year old Son still learning at home. My other 4 have graduated. He loves superheroes, Minecraft and all video games pretty much. He likes science and reads VERY well. He does not care for math, but since we found Reflex math online, it has helped.
