Description: | |
This swap is fairly cheap and geared towards everyone. This is for those who have a pattern they don’t like, They bought and found they have no interest in, found a great bargain and is willing to send, a pattern they like and is willing to make a copy, a rare or antique pattern, Etc. As a crafter and sewer I find I often make duplicates and buy extra patterns because they a re either on sale or I think at the time it’s a good buy. *****Options if you are in a cash bind! You can scour the net, download and print the patterns. Your partner may also allow an email PDF or DOC attachment if you email him/her first and find out if they will work with you. So many of us are cash strapped and this may do in the interim. It never hurts to ask and explain why you need this method then when you can send a nice note or trinket afterwards. Here in the US we have Joanns, Hancock fabric, Hobby Lobby and the like usually have patterns once a month or so on sale for 1 dollar to a dollar fifty. Local charity stores like Good Will and Am-vets have patterns on sale for 10 cents to 75 cents. Of course if you want to go full price that’s your prerogative The swap is simple, read your partners profile and match a pattern to his or her interest. If you are participating in the swap you may consider putting a separate section in your profile just for pattern wants and pattern wish list. Patterns can be: Used as long as all the pieces are there. Copied as long at the envelope and all pieces are copied. Original, as long as all the pieces are there, plus simple instructions. New which is wonderful. They can be antique or vintage as long as everything to make the item is present. It’s easier to avoid clothes and stick with craft’s, accessories and items that don’t have to be fitted. Now to the dumb stuff: |
