This is a newbie-friendly easy swap! This is to help newbies get "real mail" ratings. Seasoned swappers are welcome as well.

So, what makes this swap so easy, you ask? It takes one stamp, one envelope, and one item to meet the requirements!

Use whatever envelope you want, and put something flat inside. There is a list below of acceptable items. Choose one thing on the list and put it in the envelope, put a stamp on it, and send it to your partner! Easy peasy!

Acceptable Items

  • 4 unused stickers - can be cut from sheets. Each sticker must be no smaller than a US penny.

  • 3 sheets of memo paper

  • 1 unexpired coupon

  • 1 letter to your partner, written by you (handwritten, not typed), telling them a little about you. Must be at least 1 page long.

  • a note card, where you write a quick note to your partner telling them about yourself.

  • color a coloring book page (both sides) and send it to your partner

  • do a sudoku puzzle and send it to your partner

  • do a word search puzzle and send it to your partner

  • do a fill-in puzzle and send it to your partner (these look like crossword puzzles, but they have no clues or numbers - instead they list the words and you have to figure out where the words go)

  • send your partner a photo you took, can be of anything but keep it clean

  • a bookmark - store bought and in mint condition

Requirements

  • Choose something on the list and send it to your partner by the deadline.

  • A fully-filled out profile.

  • Newbies are welcome, therefore no rating requirement is going to be listed, however I will be going through profiles prior to assigning partners and I will remove as I see fit. If you are dropped from this swap and want to know why, PM me.

  • Due to the amount of people who may join, I cannot be held responsible for flakers. If you do not receive your swap, please rate a 1 according to the Swap-Bot rules. It is customary to PM your partner prior to rating a 1 to see what is going on.

  • If you flake on this swap, you will be listed as a flaker in the forums and groups.

  • If you have not logged in for 3 days prior to my assigning partners, I will remove you from the swap.

  • This is an international swap with 1 partner.

USA penny is about 3/4 inch or 2 cm.

When you say "Do a ____ puzzle, and send it...", do you mean to actually DO the puzzle (as in send a solved puzzle) or make a puzzle yourself?

I think the idea is fantastic, except the coupon part. Why? Because of two reasons. One, a person may not ever use the coupon , not liking that product, so they really get nothing back and two the product may not be sold in the area they live, once again getting really nothing back.

Example I just bought ten pounds of flour and if the coupon I got was for a package of flour, I could not use it for many months if at all, before it expires.

I know you are the host and make the rules, however the coupons is the only reason I will not join.

To answer a few questions...

  1. Yes, you can choose more than one item from the list to send.

  2. As for why a coupon or why a solved puzzle - it's not really about "getting something" from this swap - after all, all of the items are small and pretty useless (hahaha), it's more about getting "real mail" ratings as a newbie to help you join more swaps that are "better".

Hello! I'm very new and I can't seem to send messages. I haven't gotten a partner and I'm worried because I don't want to forget someone or mess up one of my first swaps :O How do I get my partner, through a message by the host of the swap?

@EllieChu You will get an email when the host has clicked a button that assigns you your partner. She hasn't assigned them yet so don't worry. You should be getting an email soon telling you what to do.

Partners have now been assigned. Only a few people needed to be dropped from the swap prior to assigning partners. I'm glad to see so many new members joining this swap! If all goes well, we'll do another newbie friendly swap next month. :) If anyone has any questions or problems, please PM me as I don't check the comments as often as I check my messages.

If anyone is flaked on, please PM me and I will try to angel this or I'll try to find someone to angel it. However, angels will only be sent after rating your partner a 1 if you didn't receive anything. Be sure to PM your partner before rating to see if something has happened and the swap can be fixed.

The second swap in this series is up. I had to delete the other one, as I had a family emergency (resulting in someone going to JAIL! Ugh... my extended family is crazy).
