Crafty Christmas in July Gifts

I loved the idea of a "Christmas in July" swap so I added my own twist. Newbies okay with completed profile -- Everyone was a newbie once so let's give everyone an opportunity to participate.

For this swap you will create one handcrafted holiday gift for your partner and include not only the gift itself but the directions for making it.

Many of us will find holiday cash a bit tight this year due to rising gas and other costs. Handcrafted gifts are nearly always welcome and new patterns and ideas to make them are a big help to many.

I want this to be a fun, practical and interesting exchange. So, dig out those craft books, dust off the sewing machine, or grab those crochet hooks or knitting needles and let's see what kind of unique gifts you can come up with for the upcoming holidays.

Because shipping costs for this swap can vary widely depending upon the type of craft you create I am opening this up to international swappers. To lower your costs if you get an international partner just pick a lightweight project.

I am allowing 6 weeks for the completion and shipping of your projects.

Any and all craft mediums are welcome. The choice is yours. We just might decide we enjoy your gift so much we will want to try a new craft as well.
