Description:

I'm sure I'm not the only person here who has had a printing place make nice postcards out of their artwork. The trouble is, that these postcards then fit neither into the "handmade" category nor the "storebought" one.

So for this swap, you will send your five partners each one naked (not in an envelope) profesionally printed postcard featuring your artwork. If you want you can send copies of the same postcard to all five partners, or you can send different ones.

These can be left-over promotional cards from an art show or event of yours, but you must be sure to put your swap-bot name and the name of the swap on your card.

USA only, so we can keep the postage down. By the time partners are assigned the US postcard rate will be 33 cents instead of 32, so be sure to stamp your cards accordingly.

Newbies welcome with a filled out profile (more than a few sentances please). I can angel if I have to, but don't flake!

Hi,

What if your artwork is photography? And your postcards (I have them printed at moo.com) are photos you've taken (I take mostly flowers, but also sunsets and skylines)? Would that qualify? Because I'd love to share my postcards with people!

Thanks! Patty

Just an FYI--moo.com has all of their products 25% off until Jan 27th. Short notice, I know, but I just found out today. You can even print multiples pics in the same order.

I'm a newbie and I've been working on printing my own postcards but haven't finished my files. Please have this swap again soon so I can join once mine are printed! :)

Appreciate it!

I saw the sale for moo.com and I wish I needed something so I could take advantage of that sale, @deanie213 ! I love, love, love their products and their service. Seriously, y'all. They truly rock.

This is the swap that I did last year that got me interested in postcard swaps, especially with my own photos. She just announced the 2013 swap. You can see a video of the images from last year's swap.

pc art cards Just do what I do Have your photo printed put a cardstock backing on it and use a postcard stamp just to help snoop

Cakers 02/15/2013 #

Hi snoop, I agree completely. I used to make them that way but then I wanted to try selling them at craft fairs so I decided it was worth letting someone else spend their time making them, plus, they put the lines on them for addressing them, etc.

When I make them I use a spray adhesive to put them together, then cut out with an Xacto knife after they've dried a while. Works great!
