Description:

Hello green thumb, this swap is for you!

Spring is coming and seed bags will arrive in the markets. Soon people will be planting new things in their gardens and flowerpots. It would be nice to surprise someone with seed bags. Maybe you can surprise even yourself by growing something new in in your garden or windowsills.

In this swap you will have one partner and you pick two (2) seed bags for him/her.

Seed bags should be store-bought and have planting instructions written on them. If your seed bag doesn't have instructions in English, please translate the basic information (planting time, blossoming time, harvest time, how to plant, does the plant need pruning or support, how big the plant is... etc.) in English.

Seeds bag should be seeds of some edible plant, for example herb, vegetable, root, etc. Edible flowers are also welcome.

Try to pick your seeds so that your partner is able to grow them in his/hers climate without too much trouble. (Don't send desert or rainforest plant seeds to northern countries.. Thanks. ;) ) If you want to be sure, pick something which can be raised in a flowerpot and indoors..

This swap is open for everybody with rating above 4.8. Newbies with filled profiles are welcome to join. I will ban everybody with unexplained 1 or 3.

If you prefer some kind of seeds, you can add your wishes below, but this swap is a senders choice swap.

Happy swapping!

Some swappers from other continents have contacted me and asked why this is not a international one. Well, there are lots of restrictions in international posts considering seed and plant mailing. It is for example against the post restrictions to send seeds from Europe to USA.

Countries customs will check oversea mails and they will pick out the illegal seedbags from envelopes if they notice them. That causes inconveniences to owersea swapings.

If somebody want's to set up regional swaps in other countries and continents, feel free to do so. :)

I too look forward this swap. :) Hopefully we get more participants before the swap begins. :) I am happy to receive anything which I can grow in a windowsill, but I can also grow bigger plants, roots and weggies in my mum's vegetable garden. :)

I heard this week that I'll have a veggie garden as from next week! So anything edible (herbs, veggies, medicinal) will be very much appreciated! ;-)

Hi! Brutal man also wants to join, with your permission :) I would like to receive something annual, bright and shade-tolerant to grow on a balcony. Despite the fact that the balcony is on the north side of the house, I successfully grew a pumpkin and tobacco. Yet let it be shade-tolerant plants

Hi! Shade-tolerant would be better for me and my balcony/garden, too.

Hello there! I'm not a good gardener, so I would love something easy to grow and suitable for windowsills (I don't have a garden). Herbs or flowers would be great! :)
