CAUSE SHE’S A PISTOL!
She ran away…again! No surprise there. We all spoil our little dollies…And we always have one who is a little more…vivacious…
So she ran away again. But you know she’ll come back…well, this time she came back from her little journey with some SOUVIENERES!!!
So where exactly did she or he go? Maybe skiing in the Alps? Vale? Maybe she went to the beach to work on her tan? Did she run away to the Circus???
It’s up to your partner. So here’s the swap: You will make or find one type of luggage (backpack…suitcase…trunk…heck, a little bindle!) & then add 3 objects from one destination of your choosing. Did she go to Paris and get a new dress, a baguette, and miniature Eiffel tower? The beach and get a new swimsuit, a shell necklace and a fancy drink? Did your BJD go to the Circus and tame some lions? Mardi Gras is New Orleans? Touring castles in the UK? Excavating in Egypt? Heck! Maybe she even time traveled on the TARDIS (if your partner is a fan) or set sail on spaceship to Mars…
It would be awesome too if you could add little details to your package, like suitcase stickers from destinations. Postcards. You don’t HAVE to. But everyone loves time and care :)
There are, of course, some rules/guidelines:
Please list what kind of doll this is for below. You don’t want to receive things meant for a Barbie if it’s for a Dal…or things meant for MSD when you have Monster Hight…it sucks. So rather than take a stab in the dark, let your partner know. Anyone who does not post what kind of doll this is for will be banned from this swap. It takes all of two seconds to post: Please send things for my Blythe. You don’t need to go into massive description. Which brings me to my second guideline:
Please no dollies larger than standard ‘playscale’ or 1/6 size. Examples of dolls that work: Barbie, Lati Yellow, some BJD, Monster High, Bratz, Blythe, Pullips, Taeyang, Isul, Byul, Dal, Tangkou, etc. No American Girls or 18†dolls please.
You have one month to complete so this should give everyone enough time to make something WONDERFUL!
I didn’t want to make this sender’s choice or profile only. So I’m doing this swap in the style I call profile based. In other words, while Senders don’t have to pick something from what YOU list off on your profile, they MUST pay attention to details such as dislikes and allergies (in particular!). If a sender does send something that you are allergic to. I qualify that as an automatic 3 as they did not fulfill swap requirements. So please. You don’t have to send that $50 dress on ETSY for their doll. But do pay attention to things like if they have a phobia of dolphins. This should be a respectful swap aimed to please your partner and have some fun!
Items do not have to be store bought. They can be handmade, too. But they have to be ‘well made’. So if this your first time with the sewing machine, it’s probably not a good idea to try it out. Make things that you can make well. Some ideas for things to send: Re-Ment and other miniatures like Occara or Mega-House, knit/crochet items, miniature flags, handmade minis, sewn clothes, mini jewelry, mini artwork (Maybe they stole a painting at the Louve…), mini plushies, animals (what did they bring home this time?!?). Think about where they went.
Please don’t send 3 of the same item (IE: 3 food items, 3 dresses). Try to send 3 different things. For example, Circus: 1 Ring Master’s coat and hat, Re-ment dancing bears, and a handmade, needle felted cotton candy in a little circus trunk. Or for Mardi Gras: 1 handmade mask, 3 tiny beaded necklaces, and a mini bag of chicory coffee.
Think little out of the box too. Or even show off some your home pride! Make things or get things that show off your love of your town or state or country….
I am not going to put an actual dollar amount on this. But I will say you should at the minimum spend about $10 or a few hours making it beautiful. Try to go for quality! It doesn’t have to be the HUGE, colossal carrying case or packed with extras. Just something small and neat and beautiful! Something you would be PROUD to receive yourself.
This is an international swap open to all members as long as they meet the group requirements. So be prepared for shipping costs. Once partners are assigned I cannot cancel the swap, and it will be your responsibility to see the swap through.
Please do not send anything: Gross, yucky, smelly, disgusting, obviously trash, used ROUGHLY (gentle vintage things can be cool to send!), manky, dirty, broken, or ripped things. If you send someone anything along these lines, it should be an automatic three! Send what you want to receive! Please, even if you don’t care for hearts, send something that is utterly worth a thousand hearts! Because we all love our dollies and want them happy! And we should want to make other people happy. I swap because I love to make things that are beautiful and make my partner smile. I would hope the same sentiment is everyone’s here!
Please! Include a note (doesn't have to be huge) stating your swapbot name, the swap name, and even where their doll ran away to. This doesn't need to be two pages( I would love two pages though if you want), but it should have those things. It's a pain for people in mutiple swaps to try and play guessing games. So let's make it easy for them!
Have Fun!!!
