For this swap you will have one partner and to that partner you will send 6 unwritten postcards in an envelope. Postcards sent must fulfill 6 (of the 12) categories listed below:

  • pc with a little girl or boy

  • pc with a picture of something in New York

  • pc with a domesticated cat (photograph only)

  • pc with an insect (no butterflies)

  • pc with a witch

  • pc with a black-and-white photograph

  • pc with a bird (no photograph)

  • pc with an animal in clothing

  • pc picturing something beginning with the letter 'G'

  • pc picturing something red

  • vintage pc

  • pc sender's choice

Challenge: pc with a pig

Along with the six unwritten postcards, you must include a note letting your partner know which category each postcard represents or a little post-it on the back of each card.

You may send zazzle or etsy cards for this swap--just make certain the quality and resolution are excellent quality.

As far as touristy/non-touristy postcards, I will only say that the object of the swap is NOT to go to your local drug store, buy 6 local postcards and MAKE them fit the categories. I've gotten lots of feedback from participants on touristy vs non-touristy and realize everyone has personal likes/dislikes. My hope is that participants will choose and send thoughtfully. Remember...you only have to come up with 6 of the 12, and one of those can be sender's choice!

Participants must have a 4.9 rating and been rated for 10 Type 2/Type 3 swaps. If you do NOT meet these requirements and still want to join, please message me.

Join with confidence; I will angel this swap if necessary

Are vintage cards ok to include?

fawnscrafts 02/15/2013 #

I mean for the other catagories.

Hmmm....well, I think as long as they are in good condition and unwritten, that's fine. I would not choose to send ALL vintage, but I think some is just fine.

I'm fairly new and I'd love to join this but I want to be certain I send the correct items- When you said "PC with a domesticated cat (photograph only)- does that mean the pc must just be a picture of a real cat and not a cartoon one? and for the bird one (no photograph) does that need to be like a cartoonish pc with a bird on it? I've never done the post card swaps and I'm just not familiar with what everything means. Any help would be greatly appreciated..thanks

Yes....the cat postcard must be a picture of a REAL cat and not a cartoon one.

The bird postcard can be an illustration or a drawing or a cartoon--anything EXCEPT a photograph

Hope you'll join in the fun....any more questions, just let me know and if I don't see it, someone else can certainly help as well.
