Description:

This swap is in lieu of the ones Chantal B has set up in the past (and info is copied from her). However, since I'm not sure which number she left off with, I started these with 01.

Although this is a series of square swaps, feel free to join in at any time! It's fun to put the squares together and create something out of them, when you have swapped enough.

This is an International swap!

Squares are to be 6"x6" (6 inchx6inch)

Any color, any style (this means it doesn't have to be a traditional granny square style).

You may ask your partner if they are looking for a particular color of square.

Another note: Please remember that there are those out there who do not have a wide variety of colors to choose from to knit or crochet. We will try to get the colors to what you are requesting in the comments, but please remember, yarn does cost money, and not everyone has the money to buy new colors on a whim.

Final Note: 1 square per partner (Each of you will have 2 partners). If you wish to send more than one, you ROCK!

Must have 4.85 rating. Newbies welcome! This is a great opportunity to get your ratings built up. Please do not be a flaker!

How does one knit a granny square...?

I have googled and found this:

knitting a square i find is a lot simpler than one thinks, using the gauge on the yarn you find a awesome pattern, i like using lace patterns as it follows the 'look' of the average granny square and i just make sure that when knitting it it ends up 6x6. so nice to see my swaps are still going strong diva, thanks :D

Thanks for the explanation, Chantal! :) I am still enjoying the swaps! Thanks for your permission to continue them.

I have been practicing crocheting granny squares for this swap but cant get them to be 9 inch they are either a bit to small or a bit to big. what should I do?

diva72mom 03/ 6/2013 #

They should be 6" (not 9").
If they are too big, try using a hook that is one size smaller. If they are too small, use a larger hook. It works for me. :)

Thanks I was finally able to make a 6inch square. I can't wait for the swap to begin.

I'm sorry, flowerchild. I do not have the ability to add anyone to the swap, since assigning partners. You may sign up for the next swap though! Here is the link. :)
