Description:

Well I would say round 1 and 2 were pretty much a success so I now bring you round 3! :) For this round please make a piece of mail art incorporating the following items:

  • something starting with the letter "T"

  • a receipt

  • a repetitive pattern

  • something green

  • some printed words

  • something postal themed (mail box, air mail stamp, postage
    stamp, etc)

  • something metallic

  • something representing music (notes, instrument, etc)

This mail art will be in the form of an envelope or postcard. You may use any medium for each component of the mail art. You may draw or paint the whole piece or just one part and use different mediums for the rest. Each component of the piece must be separate. In other words, a green piece of foil may be the green component or the metallic component but not both. Your completed artwork may contain additional components to those listed above but must contain AT LEAST the 8 listed above. Stickers are allowed but only in moderation.

Have fun!! Any questions, feel free to ask!

Newbies are welcome but please search google for an idea as to what mail art should look like if your not sure and don't be afraid to ask questions! :)

I loved rounds 1 & 2. The envelopes I received are beautiful. Thank you for hosting these. Keep up the good work. I'm in.

If we make a postcard, I'm guessing they are not sent "naked"? I've done mail art envelopes, but not postcards and want to try making a mail art postcard....Any minimum/maximum size(s)?

Kraftylady777 03/13/2013 #

@SFreer LOVE your mail art for CHallenge #1

FarStarr 03/13/2013 #

I always send my postcards NAKED so I hope it's okay... :)

scrappermama 03/15/2013 #

Naked is good!

SFreer 03/19/2013 #

@Kraftylady777 sorry, I didn't see this before now.. yes they are sent naked... and no there isn't a minimum size other than what the mail system allows.. thank you so much for the compliment on my work. :) It was fun to make.. I really enjoy these. I don't think about it when I'm choosing the components.. its whatever comes to mind.. so its almost a surprise when I read it after I'm done! haha!

I just wanted to say, that even tough I have mailed the swap out on the 29th, mail boxes here won't be emptied until after easter, April 2nd. Wishing you all a wonderful easter weekend!

SFreer 04/ 7/2013 #

Same here @MissThundercat holidays always mess with mail dates. When I chose the send by date I didn't take Easter into account.
