Round two anyone?(: let's do it again! :D

Postcards are the best, but if they're anything like the "tourist only" ones that my state has to offer, then they're quite the bore(x

So my proposition is to make your own! :D not on plain index cards, but with some personal photography(:

You'll have one partner that you'll send to, to make your own photography postcard that will last through the mailing adventure! You can make a single print at your local Walmart for $.30 or you can print at home as long as the paper is durable enough. (Not just plain letter paper! Something more sturdy)

So using the picture, on the back draw a line to separate the address from the actual note. On the note side tell the story of the photo! Where you took it, or what makes it photography, what inspired you to take it. Anything! Just as long as it's photo related(:

Please don't just find a picture and claim it as your own. Actually MAKE it your own! Even autograph it on the back(:

NO FLAKERS! Newbies welcomed, people looking for a redemption rating welcomed as well(: profiles not necessary, but nice if your partner wants to take a picture specifically for you!

Any questions? Please do ask! I want this to be easy & fun! Happy Swapping friends!(:

Can I put a backing on my photo just to make it sturdier? Great swap! Thanks for hosting! Hugs, Happy Snapping and Swapping! ;)

I have the same question about backing the photo to make it sturdier. I was going to glue mine to blank card stock that is the size of a postcard. I hope that it OK!

In the past, I put packing tape on the front and back for sturdiness. It worked well; just put the stamp on the outside of the tape, so as not to upset the post office.

I got postcards made of photos I have taken for all kinds of swaps. So I'm just going to send one of those.. : )

@cloudywednesday no need for an envelope, just send it as a normal postcard(:

also feel free to do whatever you feel nessesary to help your photograph survive the adventure of postage! @Vickyyen @Gingerlei

@joeeeeys when this swap is over I'll make an international one now that lots of people have signed up for it! I'll be sure & let you know when I do!(:

I just ordered my photo on a postcard at Walmart. They will have it delivered to my home on the 15th of March. That's the earliest I could get it delivered. They don't make them in store. :( Is the 15th gonna be too late? If so, I'll figure something else out.

Just checked my partner and she lives in the Netherlands, and I believe this is a regional USA swap. I don't mind sending, as it is a postcard, but if it had been more I might not have been able to. Please check participants more closely next time, thank you!

Chrysiethumb 03/13/2013 #

@Menudolvr I am so sorry for any stress that causes! It didn't even cross my mind that some might not be able to access instant prints, I'll extend the deadline & keep that in mind for next time! Sorry for any inconvience!!

@Brookeasaur This is only my third time hosting and it never occured to me that even for regional swaps international people could still sign up for it, I just assumed it'd only let US people sign up! So sorry about all that extra postage! I'll be sure & remember that next time!!

Thanks for the email. I am excited to do this swap. The extension on mailing will help.

If read, the description is self explanatory. Mine is done and gone. As coordinator you should check each person to make sure they are not out of the USA. Swap-bot use to not let them into a swap but not anymore, it isup to coordinator of swap. It takes a lot of time but some swappers get angry if they get international and it said usa.

Mine is gone to but luckily I had an international stamp as I got a partner from Finland. I like the swap but please watch closer next time if you say USA only.
