Anne of Green Gables Art Journal Pages

For this swap, you will create two art journal pages for one partner. The subject for the pages will be the Anne of Green Gable books by Lucy Maud Montgomery. I hope everyone loves these stories as much as I do. They touch on everything from pure joy to the “depths of despair,” as Anne so dramatically puts it. The ups and downs of friendship, a young impulsive girl with the “auburn” hair trying with all her might to be good, and two of the most unlikely “parents” ever – what fun! This series includes: Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea, Anne of the Island, Anne of Windy Poplars (also titled Anne of Windy Willows outside of the U.S. and Canada), Anne’s House of Dreams, and Anne of Ingleside. Rainbow Valley and Rilla of Ingleside are about Anne’s children and other friends and family.
For the first art journal page, choose one (or two – but no more than two) of your very favorite parts from the first book, Anne of Green Gables, and illustrate it in your own way. For the second page, choose a character, event or scene from any of the books (including Rainbow Valley or Rilla of Ingleside) and express it in art.
You will have only one partner per swap. Your page must either be 5”x7” or 4¾”x7” for international swappers due to postal restrictions and costs – so you may not receive the size page you sent out! You may use any medium you wish – collage, fabric, paint, ink, charcoal, etc. Please, no nudity or scandal! You will be creating art journal pages to be added to an existing journal.
