Description:
Create one ATC for one partner using an old tintype photograph as the inspiration for your piece. The interpretation of the theme is up to the artist. Your ATC should be 2.5 X 3.5 inches and have a sturdy back. All art medias welcome. Please be creative. Your ATC should be a piece of ART-don't just cut and paste an image onto patterned paper. Create something your partner would love to include in their collection. Have fun!

It's a type of antique photograph.

@YingYang The photographic image was printed on a sheet of tin instead of paper. They are beautiful and very wonderful to collect.

does the photo have to be on the actual tin? can it just be an image of an old tintype?

No. The idea is to draw inspiration from an old tintype image to create your ATC. You do not need to use an actual tintype photo, or even the entire image. I searched for tintype images on line and used part of one of the images I found as the inspiration. There are no real rules- the interpretation of the theme is up to the artist.

Would be cool though to use tin- I wish I had thought of that...or had some tin! Ha! :)
