  • 2 Pokemon cards

Newbies are welcome :) I look forward to making a whole new generation of penpals!

Um. How does this work?

Good question...I thought kids weren't allowed to swap? Penpals of kids and adults seems a little creepy to me.

You sign up for your kid. The kids do the swapping and the parents or teacher handle the letters and swap through the mail. I've done a previous one with the coordinator and my son loved getting his own letters.

Thank you @DiggerDog This is a Kid's swap but I am hosting, certainly do not trust kids perusing online on their own and making the deadlines and all :)

I'm concerned that there is no mention of age groups in this set of swaps. It might be better to have an indication of expected age for participants, and perhaps separate swaps for different age groups, as a 17yo penpallling with a 7yo would raise similar concerns to adults penpalling with children.

Well, I would think that the indication of swapping Pokemon cards should be a clue to the age group, I do not know any 17 year olds that want to willingly swap Pokemon cards. However, I am hosting this swap 3 times for 3 separate children: 2 of them are in second grade and one is in fifth grade. I hope that helps make up your mind :)

My son's name is Landon, and he's got his swap ready to go, and he included 4 cards instead of 2, he's so sweet. He looooovvvveees Pokemon.

I would love to sign up for this for my 14-year old son; however, I would not want him penpalling with a 7 or 8-year old girl. Since there are no age guidelines, I have to pass. Also, as mentioned by PikaChuu, I am a 40-year old collector of all things Pokemon!

Not to be mean, but if you are a teacher I would suggest proofreading your swap description and correcting grammar and spelling mistakes!

Sorry if I offended anyone, didn't realize it was still so popular! Yes, these swaps are for younger kids so it would be best to pass for the teenagers. Next time I will include ages as well- apologize but that's what I get for trying to host 17 swaps within one week that all include having children write letters!
