Description:

One of the great things of snailmail and swapping is that it brings the possibility of learning about other places of the world. Let's share a little bit of the place where we live!

For this swap, you're going to create a HANDMADE touristic pamphlet of the town/village/city where you live (and surroundings), and send it to one partner. The touristic pamphlet should follow these guidelines:

  • Get an A4 cardstock (to make it sturdy enough) and fold it in the middle. Now you have 4 pages to cover with touristic information about the place where you live: a cover, two parts inside, and a back cover. Fill them all.

  • The content of it should be a mix of text and images. You can use any technique you want (drawing, photography, handwriting, collage, anything), the only condition is that you can't edit the whole pamphlet with a computer. This means that you can use for instance a printer to print a photo you want to include, or use word to write some text and then print it, but the photo/text you print has to be cut and glued to the pamphlet (that's why it should be cardstock). Some effort should be put into it, instead of just being a copy paste of information printed.

  • You can include any kind of touristic information: places to visit, things to do, typical food or festivities... or a little bit of everything. It's up to you.

For any questions feel free to ask!

I would really love to join, but I'll be so busy at my new work next month so I can't do this. :(

Happy swapping everyone!
