Description:

I've had some interest in the tree swap idea that I posted on the group forum, and it is spring and I am once again thinking about trees .. so, here we go :)

Honor a tree, real or imagined.

Here are some ideas:

1) A tree that you see every day, or used to see every day -- maybe one that you used to climb as a child, or read under in the park; a tree in your yard that shelters you or shades you

2) A woman from your family tree, real, imagined, or created -- your ancestor, relative or friend, a person who shelters you or nurtures you as you grow

3) How do you imagine the spirit of a tree -- roots, branches, leaves, vascular system ?? Is it interconnected with the soil, the water table, other trees and plants? The life of a tree is so complex that it stretches the imagination to conceive of it ...

4) Different faiths, as well as different sciences, have embraced the idea of a tree as a symbol for the interconnectedness of life, of life forms, of environments, of ideas ... do you have a vision of a tree of life, a world tree? What is it about a tree that seems to help us think about these relationships?

Interpretation open to sender -- your tree could be an ornament, a drawing, a painting, a poster, a piece of altered art, art photography, a talisman, a necklace, a pillowcase, a ....???

Please include a note to your partner describing your vision of the tree that you have made, and thanks for participating!

As always, I angel all my swaps but hope that I don't have to; if your rating has some gaps or sketchy parts, please explain it to me so I can consider whether this is the right place to swap, or whether a private swap seems more appropriate.
