Description:

NEON -whether you think it's nice or nauseating, you have to admit anything Neon colored catches the eye. So let's pay homage to the attention demanding colors by creating mail art out of anything NEON colored.

You can use any medium and style -i.e. (painting, drawing, stamping, collage, mixed media, etc.) as long as the majority of your mail art is decorated in Neon colors

Your mail art may be in the form of an envelope or a handmade postcard. If you choose to create envelope mail art please include inside the envie a card, note, or some kind of flat surprise to your partner (Just don't send the envelope empty)

Ok. Dumb Question time: if you do a little mail art postcard, that's all you have to send. If you decorate an envelope, you have to send a 'flat surprise". Why??? Isn't the point of the swap to create a decorated envelope for your partner? Just find myself wondering why it's not one or the other: a postcard mail art swap or an envelope mail art swap, 'cause it's definitely going to be cheaper and easier to just send a postcard????

@charlottenc Yes, if you decide to make a mail art postcard that is all you have to send but you still should write a brief note on the back of the postcard

If you decide to do a mail art envelope, you have to put something in it because: 1- it's LAME to send an empty envelope & 2- if you send a postcard you still will be writing a brief note on the back, so if you choose to make envie mail art the least you can do is send a brief note in the envelope

And you're right it is cheaper to send mail art postcards, but since I personally prefer making mail art envies I decided to do a mail art swap to include postcards becasue I didn't want the people who prefer postcards to be left out

New from the makers of Sharpies- NEON Permanent Markers that fluoresce under black light. I just bought some, not sure how I'm going to work them into my mail art but I can't wait to use them!

Here's a link to info about them Neon sharpies
