Description:

In this journal of random-ness, we will have a series of items to include in it, but NOT limited to what follows! I am open for additions to this journal, as we have several weeks to complete this! Make sure each entry that is made that includes a date at the top so others can see the time progression.

This journal should include:

start it off with an introduction of yourself (however long and detailed you want it to be) then lead into: favorite dinner and breakfast recipes, random thoughts, dream vacations, dream house, favorite dessert (and recipe if it's one that you make), list of favorite songs/lyrics and why, list of favorite movies and why, list of favorite books, favorite recipes in general, favorite quote(s) and why, any interesting newspaper articles from your home town, art - draw your own picture or a zentangle, open ended lists for your partner to fill in later on..... feel free to add anything else that your heart desires! Entries can be typed OR handwritten, as long as the entries fit into the journal page. Let's see if we can fill up the journal!

The journal should be at least 70 sheet (but not limited to just 70 if the sender chooses) and be a full sized journal (8.5 x 11 sheets). The journal cover may be decorated by the journaler if it isn't one that is already decorated.

THIS IS A HUGE, TIME CONSUMING SWAP!! It entails many weeks in order to get it all done and completed. DO NOT SIGN UP if you cannot commit to it and complete it, as angelling this one will be difficult! Also, due to the mailing costs, I'm making this swap regional, ONLY to the US. Sorry to the international interested parties!

Any ?s - get ahold of me!

Enjoy!

A very interesting journal, indeed. I will join now, but may have to withdraw before sign-up ends.

I cant even join, am europian.... sigh

I'm sorry that I made this regional to US only. However, when I did this as a private swap with a pen pal recently, it cost me almost $7 to mail it here within the US. I hate to see how much it would have been internationally...

OH, and I want to add that this is NOT a journal swap where X-rated material is appropriate. Please keep this a clean, fun journal for everyone to enjoy. THANKS!!

all of my journals are 5.8x8.2 but it has 96 pages, would that be ok if i fill every page?

ImzadiRose 04/29/2013 #

I too am having a hard time finding full sized journals. I have smaller ones as well. I bought a full size notebook type, only with harder covers and a band to keep it closed. Would that work? Or as @tasangelbabydes said, would a smaller one with more pages be ok?

ImzadiRose 04/29/2013 #

sorry for the typo @tazangelbabydes :)

i am using the one i have, hopefully my partner doesnt mind and ill make sure its nice and full lol. also what exactly is a open ended list for my partner to fill? thanks

Like I said in the start, the journal has to be AT LEAST 70 pages. I plan on using as much as I can on it. When I write, I'm only going to write on 1 side as the pens I like seem to bleed through the paper. However, I also plan to try and decorate the backs of these pages somehow to compensate. I don't care what the book looks like on the outside. ImzadiRose - that journal sounds fine to me. tazangelbabydes - One might just check in with the partner that you get assigned just to let them know that you will be assigned that you are going to be pretty inclusive and fill it up, etc., as a precaution maybe?

Thanks @JenL Looking forward starting. :)

tazangelbabydes 04/30/2013 #

not a problem. I will make sure every page is either written decorated has a picture etc. and I always put in the little envelopes with some goodies in it!!

Thanks, ladies, for checking in with it all. It's appreciated. Have fun with this swap! I typed up my bio and put it in the front, as my handwriting is pretty bad. This way, I also freed up some pages that I can use for other things as well!! It's all about being creative here!

Well, it seems that my original thought was correct. I must drop from this swap. Next time that I have any doubts, I simply will not join. My apologies. I still think it is a very intersting journal idea.

Tomorrow I will be rating my swap as not received by the host, who was to send to me. Very disappointed! :(
