Vintage Apron Christmas

Do you remember those Christmas’s when your mom wore lovely aprons (there was always one for you, too) while making great holiday cookies? Well, probably not all of you remember, since I am vintage myself! I can close my eyes and smell the cookies. I even have pictures. I passed the tradition on to my daughters. One occasionally wears vintage aprons and loves to cook; the other does not wear aprons and does not like to cook (that’s cool too). They have the memories!

This should all fit in a bubble 8 ½ x 11 package. Make it easy, simple, but make it fun for you and your swap partner!

  1. A Vintage Apron (does not have to be Christmas themed, the apron can be new and/or handmade)
  2. A Cookie Recipe (on Christmas Recipe Card or paper)
  3. A Cookie Cutter (any)
  4. A Vintage or New Pot Holder
  5. A Small Container of Christmas Sprinkles (to decorate the cookies)

This swap is for the USA and Canada only, due to the closeness of the holidays.

No one with a rating under 4 or record of no sends will be allowed to sign up. I will check sign up list and send out reminders. Newbies welcome!

Remember to rate your swap partner! The rating option shows up 7 days after close of the mailing date. Please rate your partner on the Swap-Bot's rating system, allowing for interpretation.

If you have any questions, please contact me.

Next year, I will start one earlier and will include everyone.

Happy holiday baking!

What do you mean by "vintage apron"? Is this something I could make (as I don't have any)?

Hello, Purplemorgan

Yes, you can make the apron or it can be a vintage apron, it is your choice. I will edit the swap. I realized that not everyone will have a vintage apron and I also know that there are many who have tremendous sewing talents. Thanks for your question.

I'll be posting pictures as soon as I have enough light to take them:) Mary Jane - thank you so much - everything was absolutely perfect and it was all so beautifully and lovingly wrapped:) I can't wait to try to recipe - and I have a nice little collection of copper cookie cutters that I am excited to add the tree cookie cutter to:) The apron is fantastic!! I had used some of that SAME fabric to make a bunch of pillowcases for gifts:):) It fits perfect and I can't wait to break it in!

Happy Holidays and Baking! When I mailed my package by parcel post the very informative mail person said, "This may not make it there by Christmas." So I said "What you mean is the regular 2-9 day standard changes in December." He just looked at me! Poor guy! So our packages may take longer than usual to arrive! Be patient. Enjoy the holidays! May each one of you be very blessed!

RAESHA!!!! WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Talk about being spoiled!!!! Oh my goodness!!! It's BEAUTIFUL! While I don't celebrate Christmas, the poinsettias are so lovely! They are my birth month flower, and since I have cats I can't have the real thing, so the apron is just PERFECT! It even ties! Can't wait to try the recipes! And everything was wrapped up so nicely! It was such a fun and joyful moment to open up such a lovingly created and wrapped package!!! THANK YOU!!!! You more than made my day!

Bombshell-o-matic, My husband just got home and I opened your box to find a beautiful apron. It reminds me so much of my two great aunts. I miss them so much and they passed away in the late '70's. Thank you for the memories. I also love the potholders. My first sewing project was a gingham apron with cross stitch. I still have it! I absolutely love the cookie recipe book and an the recipe cards. I have got to hit the dollar store more often, they are great! I love the cookie cutters, my favorite cookie to make is the sugar cookie cutouts and somehow I've lost my cookie cutters. I think one of the kids "borrowed" them , so now I have some more! The whisk and cookie turner with the gingerbread handle is very adorable and I will think of how kind you are when I make cookies. I will enjoy the tea when I am at work, a great stress relief! Overall, you have sent me a fantastic swap. Thank you so much. I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas. Smiles and many thanks, Mary Jane
