Phoenix Rising: Quilted&Embellished Patches BRIGHT

Here's the swap that we've been discussing to exchange patches that are made following the Teesha Moore tutorials.

We will:

• Send one patch to each of two partners.

• Choose fabrics that would be considered "brights" (which could also be bright colors on a black/white/etc. background).

• Make our patches between the approximate sizes of 6 to 9 square inches using a square or rectangular shape. Examples would be 3"x2"=6 sq. inches, 6x1, 5x1.5, 4x2...whatever speaks best to your fabric pattern and design whim.

• Stuff the patches as shown in the video to make it a lightly stuffed "pillowy" patch.

• Use some thread stitching besides the stitching that is required around the edges. This may be hand stitched or machine stitching.

• Include another type of embellishment such as beads, sequins, or buttons.

• You do not have to be an experienced sew-er to participate. This is a very inexact, artsy process!

• Have fun creating!

If this is successful, perhaps we can make additional swaps to create enough patches to make an item. We can also branch out into other colors and themes.
