Description:

The June 2013 Fandom in a Bag swap is Disney.

Step 1: Please list in the comments your favorite characters, movies, moments, or any other preference you may have.

Step 2: After partners are assigned, check to see what your partner likes. You can follow-up with a message if you need to know more. Then scrounge up, buy, and/or create items that fit in a bag. Your bag must contain at least 7 different items although more is certainly encouraged (PLEASE try to make it look full).

Some ideas of themed items: stickers, ATCs, postcards, toys/action figures, comics, note cards, pins/buttons, magnets, jewelry, trading cards, charms, ornaments, books, bookmarks, address labels, postcards, plushies/stuffies, promo stills/autograph cards, fainfic, zines, etc.

More specific ideas: top ten list of your favorite Disney movies, Mickey/Minnie ears headband, Toy Story piggy bank, themed recipes, Tinkerbell magic fairy dust necklace, a book Belle would read, oh my goodness there are too many possibilities to list!

Be sure to check your partner's profile so you don't send anything he or she might be allergic to.

Step 3: Put the items in a ziplock-type bag. Size: 1 gallon (measures AT LEAST 10 inches by 11 inches or 28cm by 26.5 cm). You can decorate the bag or incorporate the bag into something (mount it or sew something around it). If you want to make or buy a bag instead of using a ziplock plastic one, that's fine as well, but it should be at least a gallon in size. All items you gather or create should fit into the bag (if a couple are too big, that's fine).

Assemble your bags during the month of June and please send by the deadline (July 1).

Group rating rules apply. NO FLAKING ALLOWED! Flakers will be thrown into the vault, never to be heard from again.

I adore Disney and Mickey Mouse. I grew up watching every Disney movie in the nearby theater, so they have a special place in my heart. My favorite Disney movie is without a doubt the original animated 101 Datamations, followed closely by Sleeping Beauty and The Lion King. I also love Beauty & the Beast. I really love almost all Disney movies EXCEPT FOR Dumbo, Bambi (because it is so sad), Pinocchio, The Three Caballeros, and The Black Cauldron. I also don't care much for the Disney Fairies or the Princesses as a whole (I do really love Sleeping Beauty and Belle on their own). I was also a HUGE fan of Duck Tales, Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin, and Darkwing Duck when I was a kid. I also great up watching the Wonderful World of Disney every Sunday night (the Shaggy Dog will always have a special place in my heart, for example). And I love Pixar (not Cars though), Studio Ghibli films, and the Muppets, which I guess all sort of count? I haven't seen Brave yet, but I'm a HUGE fan of Scotland so feel free to send Brave merch if that floats your boat as I'm sure I'll like it when I see it. I don't have a single Toy Story LEGO set, FYI. Last but not least, Eeyore is my absolute FAVORITE technically Disney character (Tigger's just too bouncy!). I LOVE Disney's Winnie the Pooh--the original movie, the television show I watched every Saturday morning when I was a kid, even the new movies. I could literally spend HOURS listing all the specific Disney things I love, so if you want more info about something mentioned or have a question, just message me and ask!

I love Disney and Disney World. It is hard to pin down some favourites, but I will give it a god. I do like the Villians, Maleficient (Sleeping Beauty) is one of my faves and am going to try that for Halloween. Disney postcards of any type are welcome. I love vintage disney too. Disney writing paper, pens are especially useful. Some characters I like besides the villains: The Little Mermaid, Nightmare Before Christmas, Toy Story, Chip and Dale, The Incredibles, Pirates of the Caribbean….. I also like anything associated with the rides and entertainment at the theme parks. My favourites being The Haunted Mansion and It's a Small World and Space Mountain. If I had to list ones I am not so into it would be Goofy, Donald and his nephews, three Little Pigs

I'm really excited for this one :o I love just about anything Disney. We have a huge video cupboard at home, filled with almost every Disney movie, all of which have been watched to death. I used to adore all the princesses. However, now that I've grown up a bit, I do find that I've been siding more and more with the villains! I'm a big fan of Maleficent and her wardrobe! I also really like Hook, the Villains (Mombi in particular) from Return to Oz, and Theodora from Oz the Great and Powerful. And for the good guys (girls mostly), Belle, Snow White, Alice (both old and new), Wendy Darling, Ariel, Esmerelda, etcetera. I'll pretty much accept anything from any Disney movie (except The Black Cauldron). If it's from an older/less known Disney movie, a little note explaining it would be awesome :)

Oh I seriously love anything Disney...my favorite is really Disney World Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom. Just the whole immersive experience of being IN the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH! Spent my honeymoon in Disney World and have already taken my 2 year old there (everyone said he was too young but I just couldn't wait and he LOVED IT). I love Cars, Cars 2, CAN'T WAIT TO SEE Planes, The Classic Gang (Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Donald, Goofy, Pluto), Lion King, really the classic cartoons I LOVE.

I'm so excited for this swap! I love the Disney Princesses and Disney Fairies. My favorite Disney movies are Beauty and the Beast, Newsies, Mulan, Tangled, and Aladdin. I'm also a fan of Kingdom Hearts which is Disney-related.

I'm NOT a huge fan of older Disney movies (Bambi, Snow White, etc.) nor do I really care for "Mickey and Friends".

Oh wow, Disney! Yay! I absolutely ADORE Disney.
I especially love Alice in Wonderland (old and new), Oliver and Company, Beauty and the Beast (Belle rocks!), Lion King (1&2), Hunchback of Notre Dame (Esmeralda rocks too!), Monster's Inc, the Nightmare Before Christmas, The Little Mermaid (Ariel and her sense of adventure is just amazing!) and I love love love love love (x1000) The Emperor's New Groove. Kronk, Yzma, Kuzco, Pacha … heart! I just watch it over and over and over again, and I always find new things to love:)
And also: Lady and the Tramp, The Aristocats, Robin Hood, The Fox and the Hound, Aladdin, Pocahontas (yay!), Toy Story (1-3), Mulan, Tarzan, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Treasure Planet (heart!), Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, Up, Brave, Bambi (the first Disney film I ever saw actually), Tangled.
Non animated: Alice in Wonderland (Tim Burton's.) and Homeward Bound (1&2) … oh, and obviously Pirates of the Caribbean as well, but I don't really consider those “Disney movies” :)
I don't care too much for the TV shows(,with the exception of Duck Tales,) or non-animated movies – with the exception of the ones I've mentioned above. I have no relationship at all with Disney Land/World/whatever. I would like to go one day, but that's in the future somewhere :)

I usually enjoy the quirky characters in most movies, villains, and strong female parts.

I do enjoy the other classics as well, but the ones I've mentioned above especially. I have a complicated relationship with Peter Pan for various reasons – if you're my partner feel free to contact me about this if you feel like you have something Peter Pan related you want to give me. Some things goes, other things … not so much :)

Also adding Peter Pan and Monster's Inc (especially Boo) to my list. And Alice in Wonderland (Tim Burton) is favourite too.

Oops ... better late than never, here comes my list. This swap is AWESOME! I'm a massive Disney fan, because it's been such a huge part of my childhood. I love all the old Disney classics, the cartoons: Mulan, the Emperor's new Groove, the Sword in the Stone and Hercules are my absolute all time favourites!! I can't get enough of watching them. :) I also love Tarzan, the Hunchback of Notre Dame, the Adventures of Ichaboad and Mr Toad, The Black Cauldron, Aladdin, The Jungle Book, Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, The Rescuers, The Great Mouse Detective .... I adore all these films, really. :) You can hardly go wrong when it comes to Disney classics. :) I'm not a massive fan of Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse on the screen, though. I love the comics in book form of them, however. I've collected them (although compared to the existing number, I've got just a tiny part :D) for a while and still find them hilarious. :) I also like the Pixar movies, but not quite as much as the Classics. I loved Monsters Inc.and can't wait for Monsters University! Also, "The Nightmare before Christmas" ist one of my alltime favourite movies. :) I'm not a fan of the TV shows and neither of most of the unanimated films/shows - they don't really count as "Disney" for me, although I of course love "Pirates of the Carribean". Also, I've never been to Disney world, although I'd love to go some day. But so, please refrain from Disney World specific merchandise. Wow ... I'm superexcited now. :D
