Sorry everyone! I hope I answered your questions through message, but here's a quick explanation:

As long as you use the acrylic paint with a textured surface, it counts. It can be whatever you choose, such as sand paper, paper towels, bubble wrap, etc. Anything you can think of that has texture and will work. (:
