MZA: Pre-paid Postcards
Group:Mr. ZIP Approved!
Swap Coordinator:BetsyPreston (contact)
Swap categories: Postcards
Number of people in swap:9
Location:International
Type:Type 2: Flat mail
Rating requirement:4.85
Last day to signup/drop:August 15, 2013
Date items must be sent by:August 31, 2013
Number of swap partners:3
Description:

Send 3 pre-paid postcards, one to each partner. Pre-paid postcards come with postage already printed on them by the post office. Vintage would be nice, although it is likely to require that you add extra postage. Postcards should be mailed naked, with a message from you written on the card.

The sign-up deadline is a month out to give you time to check your post office for pre-paid postcards, or to find some on eBay (or where-ever). Senders choice, so you can fill them out in advance if you'd like.

That's it. Keeping it simple. It's my first time creating an MZA swap, so sorry if I'm missing any of the criteria you have come to expect.

I only have 2 of these left (not enough to join) and they kinda got bent a bit in my drawer cry hehe. I need to look for one of those swaps for damaged cards now...or maybe I'll just keep them worn, but loved.

Has anyone checked if USA post offices are still selling these? They might be, as they do still sell pre-paid envelopes.

You can still get postcards (and envelopes), but not the self-mailer postalettes.

If you can't find them at your post office, the postcards at least are available at usps.com: look for "cards." (I haven't checked on availability of the envelopes.)

I wanted to check on a technical question, in case anyone has experience with this...The minimum size for a postcard now is 3.5 x 5 inches (to get the US 33-cent postcard rate rather than 46 cents). I have some old pre-paid cards that are only 3.25 inches high. I'm guessing I should just put 46 cents worth of stamps on these to be safe but was wondering if anyone else had tried sending these.
