Description:

Hello everyone! I'm here to do my best and make this group lively again ;).

For this swap, we will be practicing drawing! You don't have to be the best artist out there but you will have to create a drawing that will look like you put some spirit into it!

You will have one partner to whom you will send one drawing that matches the theme of this swap. The point of this swap is for us to take an A4 paper (plain, regular sized paper without lines or anything else) and draw!

This round's theme: Your favourite character in a green dress.

You will take this anime anime / manga character you absolutely love and dress her/him in a green dress. Let your imagination go wild with that! You don't have to draw the character exactly like in the anime/manga, you can give her/him your own touch. You also don't have to draw her/him well. As I said before, we're practicing drawing.

You can make a sketch, a black and white painting (in this case, only the dress will be in colour) or a fully coloured drawing. Whatever you feel like :). Just make it match the theme of the swap!

Add a note in which you will write the swap's name, your username and the name of the character you drew.

Since this is a swap in which we want to improve ourselves, you can request to get constructive feedback from your partner. Please write in the comments below if you want to receive feedback or not (some of us are more sensitive when getting feedback).

Let's do a refreshment to what "constructive feedback" means. It means that you start your feedback will all the good things you have to say about the drawing. All the strong parts about it and the good qualities of the person's drawing. And only then you proceed to telling what could be improved and how. Write it in a civil manner and be nice to the other person :). If the person stated that they don't want to receive feedback in the comments, please respect that.

Remember, there are many drawing styles and you shouldn't aim to change them in your feedback. Consider the person's drawing style and give them feedback if they want it.

The last part is not a requirement but can help us improve our artistic skills.

I hope you all will enjoy this swap!

I'm fully up for feedback anytime...

nyanSan 07/19/2013 #

I love you feedback. Please be merciless.

dragonalloy 07/19/2013 #

sorry i just imaged if your fav character was a guy... and you put him in a green dress lol

dragonalloy 07/19/2013 #

oyea also one thing you might wanna do to let others know is email/message everyone this way its more noticeable

KirielAmbar 07/19/2013 #

XDD I guess you could imagine the theme broadly? Because men wore dress-like garments in certain time periods.

nyanSan 07/19/2013 #

XDD i see you noticed how controversial it is :P.

@dragonalloy what do you mean? Do you suggest that I will message everyone whether they partners want or don't want to get a feedback?

dragonalloy 07/19/2013 #

@nyansan like message the group.. not people joining the swap but the group its self. for example im in the Kawaii Swapping USA group and when they post new swaps they will message the whole group. this way everyone knows and can at least check it out. cause personally i dont always think to check EVERY group im in daily.

sunnysimo 07/20/2013 #

I really most join this swap! :D

dragonalloy 07/20/2013 #

@nyansan is there any size requirement for this?

nyanSan 08/ 2/2013 #

@dragonalloy I think only founders can do that... I'm not sure. I have never created a group.

For the question: "The point of this swap is for us to take an A4 paper". You should take a plain A4 paper and draw on it. Not larger and not smaller ;).

PikaChuu 08/ 5/2013 #

i deffinitely want feeback ^^ i think the hardest part is gonna be picking a charater though :L

nyanSan 08/ 6/2013 #

@PikaChuu XDDDD I'M SORRY IN ADVANCE. I already picked a character XDDDD.

KirielAmbar 08/ 6/2013 #

If we don't have A4 paper here, can we use the closest American size? (XDD Americans always being difficult...) I can always cut it to A4 though if you prefer, either way. ^_^

nyanSan 08/ 7/2013 #

@KirielAmbar you don't have A4?... you are insane people there in America :P. Without A4 paper I would have died. You can use whatever strange paper you have with you.

nyanSan 08/ 7/2013 #

p.s. as long as the paper is not smaller.

KirielAmbar 08/ 8/2013 #

Right? XD I used A4 when I was overseas and then I got back and wondered where it all went... O_O

Lol, ok, let me figure this out. (I have to do this all the time because our measurements honestly make no sense...) A4 = 210mm by 297mm, or 8.3in by 11.7in... ok! Yup, we have a standard paper size that is 9in by 12in. XDD

nyanSan 08/11/2013 #

@KirielAmbar xD petpet good enough for me.
