Description:

Inspired by the swap by ShanudaDixon, This is going to be a swap based on the fabulous doll stamps by Julie Nutting. They are large stamps and run from about 6" to 7 1/2" tall.

If you don't know what they are just do a google search and you can find them. All sorts of places sell the stamps and cards and embellishments to go with them!

For this swap you will make a tag for each of two swap partners. Each month we will have a different theme. This months theme is:

SUMMER!

Use your imagination. It can be anything that brings to mind to YOU what summer is about. It could be beach, nautical, bright colors, flowers, sun, fun, whatever summer means to you.

You will need to have at least 5 different embellishments including the background. you can use stamps, paper, paint, colored pencils, pens, etc. The doll must also be well decorated, whether that be painted, colored or paper pieced. Feel free to add more if you like! Tiny shells, brads, charms, ribbon, paper, flowers, etc.

You will have two partners. This IS sender's choice, so even if you don't care for what you got, if it meets the criteria, you need to give a 5 rating. You CAN look at your swap partners' profiles and see likes or dislikes.

I plan on doing one each month. You will have 4 weeks to work on these so there is plenty of time for inspiration!

You must not have any recent 1's or 3's, with an explanation. I WILL allow newbies with a well filled out profile. Flakers will be banned from any future swaps. I WILL angel if need be, but let's make this fun and everyone send on time. If you don't think you can follow the criteria or send, then don't sign up.

(Image is not my work, just shown as an example of the doll stamp and what you can do with it)

happy swapping!

P.S., you MUST use an actual doll stamp. It is NOT okay to print something off the internet and use it. The whole point of this swap is to use the stamps this swap is created for. This is a MUST. If you receive something not made with a stamp then you should rate a 3, no matter what else is involved. I'm posting this so it is clear, and so there is no confusion on how to rate if you receive a swap that does not meet this basic criteria. Thanks!

So the tag can be any size? I went to the store to see what they had, and they have some pretty big ones. I think around 9 or 10 in. i didnt buy any because i wanted to be sure first. They do have some smaller ones that are around 7.5 to 8 in

They can be any size, as long as they are bigger than the stamp you are using. Most of the doll stamps are pretty good size. The tags I have are around 8". Bigger is good too!
