Description:

As summer will start to draw to a close next month, I thought it would be nice to do something in a seaside theme.

For this swap, you will make a collage that should be at least 6x9 on either cardboard or something like hard canvas (nothing thin/flimsy). Alternatively, if you're feeling ambitious, you could, for example, upcycle a basic wood frame with whitewash and send your swap partner a ready-to-hang piece of art, but that's entirely up to you.

Please use a variety of materials that sing with this theme - you can use sea shells, pieces of canvas or sail cloth if you have it, maybe fabric with a beachy/nautical print, burlap etc, plus the usual things like paint, washi tape, vintage ephemera etc.

You may use/incorporate reproduction ephemera for this swap - printed from internet resources (no blurry or smudged images), sourced from a variety of different scrapbooking companies, cut out of ephemera books (eg Dover publications) or photocopies from your stash. Check the resources in the forum for links to free vintage ephemera you can print/download.

Your piece of art/collage does not need to be rectangular - you can make it into the shape of a house, or round/oval etc. The dimensions stated for this swap are just guidelines for the overall size. There should be some dimension though - meaning that it shouldn't be completely flat with just paper.

Please make sure to allow ample drying time before packaging/mailing your swap.

As always, nothing gross, smelly, dirty or religious. I'm allocating plenty of time for you to make this a beautiful piece of art for your swap partner's craft studio/area or to brighten up someone's office and so on.
