Description:

Recently I have been doing ATC's out of material other than paper or pre-made scrapbooking supplies and I have been loving it! At first you may be a little stumped as to what to use or do but just let your imagination go. You will be surprised.

This swap you can only use items that you find in your kitchen. You can use an old cereal box or pasta box. Use labels from wine or can goods. Kitchen twine or aluminum cans. Dye fabric with coffee or grape juice. Start rummaging and lets have some fun.

ATC rules apply. You will only make one card for one partner. This will not be profile based so you can start experimenting or saving some kitchen items....remember we are only doing items found in the kitchen. Any questions please ask.
If you are having problems getting your swap out please Let your partner know. And don't forget to rate!

Well hang on, if we dye fabric with something from the kitchen, the fabric itself isn't from the kitchen so does that mean craft items are allowed as long as we alter them with kitchen things somehow? Like stained trims, papers or fabrics? If so, I'm in. Fab idea!! Anyway we could make it 90 or 95% from the kitchen? Only from the kitchen is pretty hard. It means we can't use regular stamps, water colours, inks or adhesive.

Foil can be layered on paper and embossed with regular embossing folders. Cupcake wrappers make sweet substitutes (get it? sweet? ha ha) for Scrapbooking paper and the staff at many coffee shops where they roast their own beans will give you a few of the fancy stickers they use on the bags. Many have gorgeous artwork on them. Paper bags are good substitutes for Kraft coloured Cardstock and if you cut the root end of celery, you get a pattern, when stamped with ink, that looks a lot like a rose! If you add salt to a really wet watercolour background, you get a very cool pattern.

What about the kitchen junk drawer? Is that fair game as well?

Yes you can use stained trim. The main idea is to alter the conventional items used. However I just don't want someone to dye paper and then put stickers on it. This is a chance to think outside the box.....and yes I will allow the kitchen junk drawer....mine is a mess but I bet I could find some interesting things

Ad yes you could use watercolor or paint if you use say the celery stalks or lemons....

So as long as the base material is from the kitchen, can we embellish with rubber stamps? Kitchen themed ones of course!

Yes that would work as well
