Description:

As the previous 5 minute ATC swap I did was a success, I have decided to do another one. If this is successful as well, I may do a series.

I love making ATC's, but some swaps can seem quite challenging for those of us who are not 100% confident in our ATC making skills. So this swap is quite simple - make a butterfly ATC!

Please do not just put a butterfly sticker on a piece of card and call it done, try your hardest to be artistic with it, but other than that, anything goes - draw a butterfly, paint one or try a collage. It really is senders choice.

If you receive an ATC with a butterfly, that is not just a sticker, then please rate a 5 whether you like it or not. This is senders choice, and is for newbies to ATC's so some peoples skill level may not be as high as you would like, but if they have tried their hardest you should be appreciative of that.

Experienced crafters are also very welcome. I am allowing unrated newbies or those with a rating of 4.9 or higher, but I do reserve the right to remove anyone from the swap at my discretion. If your rating is lower than this, but there is a good reason for it, then please PM me. If you are a newbie, you need a well filled out profile before I will allow you into the swap. Apologies if this seems harsh, but I want to try and keep the swap safe for all.

I have made it two partners, and a fairly quick turnaround as the idea is to keep it simple, but if anyone has trouble meeting this, please let me know and I will consider altering the dates.

Please note that any flakers will be banned from further swaps and reported immediately, and posted on the questionable swappers forum.

Hello There!! I believe Artist Trading Card is what ATC stands for, but is there anywhere that explains a little more and gives standards for the cards? I am a newbie and Iove butterflies, so I think this would be fun! Thanks much! Shannon Linde

ATC Γ’β‚¬β€œ Artist trading cards (ATCs) are miniature pieces of art that are traded around the world. Artists create, trade and collect art at organized Ò€œswapÒ€ events or through the mail, in person or online.

The only official rule for ATCs is the size: 2.5Ò€³ x 3.5Ò€³.

As a general rule, swaps are open to any media, materials or techniques as long as the card fits into a standard trading card sleeve. ATCs are traded, not sold. You may find that individual swaps on Swap Bot have rules as to how the ATC should be created for that particular swap. Each one is different, so make sure you read the swap description carefully before signing up.
