Welcome to the Post Karma Series!

This swap is inspired by random acts of kindness. A random act of kindness is a selfless act performed by a person or people wishing to either assist or cheer up an individual person or people. For this series you will send 2 cards and have one partner. They can be any card you would like except for ad cards because there is no way to write a message on it.

The first card (for your partner) should have an uplifting message or thought. Maybe a quote, maybe a compliment based on their profile... it's entirely up to you. Please be respectful of your partner's likes and dislikes by checking out their profile.

The second card or "The RAK Card" is one you will send to a person who isn't your partner. It may be someone who needs some help or encouragement or someone who might need a little cheering up. Each swap in the series will focus on someone different. If you know of anyone who might be in need of some happy mail, please message me so I can get one set up on the series. I can make other arragements for giving out the address if you don't want it listed on the swap's main page. Newbies are allowed as long as they have a well filled out profile. No recent and unexplained 1s or 3s. I reserve the right to ban anyone who doesn't meet the requirements. I will angel this swap if needed. Just message me and let me know!

The RAK card:

The Creative Youth Center is a free non-profit center for students attending a public school in Michigan. They belive in preparing kids for life's adventures by supporting their writing and amplifying their voice as well as helping the kids become published authors leading to a strong sense of identity and an enthusiasm for learning.

They have a story about the "owner" of the center named Captain H. Tanny who is a mysterious adventurer. Captain H. Tanny is always off on great adventures all over the world. If you could send a card to the center addressed to "the kids of the CYC" and write a note about an awesome adventure that the captain experiences. Feel free to ask the kids questions or give them an idea about a writing prompt that relates to the postcard, the city it's from, or the adventure! Sign the card "Captain H. Tanny".

Where to send:

The Kids of the CYC

758 Wealthy St. SE

Grand Rapids, MI, 49503

Can I send RAK PC w/out joining? I prefer not to do Int'l..

DaydreamStudios 08/23/2013 #

@transplanted1 yeah that would be awesome! I wish there was a way around that issue and if you can think of one I'd love for you to be able to participate. I made this one international hoping to get some cards for the kids from out of the country. If you want you can message me on here with your address and I'll message you mine. We can do a small pc swap. That way you can still participate :)

I live in a UNESCO City of Literature and my husband works in literature development and promotion for a writers' centre, so this sounds like a great idea. :)
