Embroidered Christmas Postcard

This swap is for a hand embroidered fabric postcard. Really it is an embroidery swap in the size of a postcard. Any type of hand embroidery is welcome including cross stitch. The theme is Christmas. It is sender's choice so you can start now. Please use quality materials like cotton, linen or silk. Your postcard must be backed and finished. I trim mine to 1/2 inch larger, sandwich front facing showing side of backing,add stiffening if needed, sew around 3 1/2 sides, trim corners, turn inside out and ladder stitch opening closed. It should be like a doona cover or pillowslip, but stiffer. Absolutely no machine overedge stitching or glueing onto cardboard. We are trying to make something that your partner will adore and love to display each Christmas. Size is up to you, as postcards vary, I would let your embroidery dictate the finished size. You can add the year if you wish although not essential. If you can label the back, please do, if not then include details on a separate piece of paper. Send in an envelope, not naked. I will angel after 6 weeks and you have rated your partner a 1. As this is labour intensive, you must have a 5 rating.
