This swap is for experienced crocheter's only. And USA only due to time and postage.

This is an on-going swap. Please PM me for an invite to "Granny Square ~ Round By Round" group. We will be tracking the squares there.

You will send your partners the starting row of a traditional granny square. It's called a "granny's daughter". Yarn color is sender's choice, as long as it is 100% acrylic worsted weight yarn.

Pin a tag to Round 1 of your square with the following on one side: Your Name (swap-bot name) Your Address City, State, Zip

Any special instructions you have can be added here too.

And on the back, have instructions to have them add their name and swap-bot ID on the other side (see picture above. I used a business card template in the print shop on my computer)

Send 2 granny's daughters to each of your partners (You will need a total of 4 granny's daughters)

When the next round is posted you will:

Before and after you add your row, measure the square. Add a row to the granny squares you got from your partners in the previous round. Yarn is 100% acrylic worsted weight yarn.

Send two of the squares to each of your 2 new partners. Leave the tag pinned to the center so the square can eventually find its way home in a later swap. If you get a same partner as previous round, you can send them a square they haven't added to OR another of your granny's daughters. (Saving the square for the next round)

Everyone crochets differently, so some squares might come home before others. Just remember that the goal is 7 inch squares.

Any questions, please send me a message. Rating requirement for 4.8 and up. With no recent 1's or 3's. Newbies welcome with a WELL filled out and detailed profile.

NOTE: I understand that sometimes things in our life happens. If you can no longer continue, PLEASE let me know. I will make arrangements for you to send the squares to me so they can continue on.

ANOTHER NOTE: There are other crochet-a-round granny swaps out there. Please make sure you are passing on the right squares within the right swaps!

Also ~ I live in "Boonyville" and sometimes our internet connection isn't very good. This is especially true when it rains & in the winter months. So please be patient, partners will get assigned and if needed I will extend the send date.

Hmmm...I got my own block back by coincidence, and it's 6" so I'm keeping it (I'm doing a 3"-6"-9" block afghan so it'll be used right away!), and will send out another in the next swap.

Oddly enough, it only has 3 signers but 4 rows. It's beautiful colors, and I love it in any case! :)
