Description: | |
This swap is US and UK only. Create a Fairy Quilt that is at least 6" x 4" no more than 12" x 12". Embellish as much as you want with ribbons, fibers beads, embroidery. Do not use batting. However, you may use a single layer of thin flannel where batting would normally go. The quilt should be flexible. Quilt base must be fabric, quilt must be sewn. Time and your best effort should be put into the quilt. The color and style are quilters choice. Please make a quilt that you would love to receive. Swappers must have a rating of 4.8 or higher, zero no-sends. If you have received an unfair rating and want to participate, you must contact the coordinator and ask for an exception. Newbies must have a complete profile, including a link to flickr or similar website showing their work. If you sign up and notice a flaker is signed up, please contact me. It is expected that you will meet your obligation, make sure that you have not signed up for more swaps than you can complete. Just to clarify this quilt should be something that YOU think a fairy would like to snuggle up under on a cold winters night. It should have at least two layers of fabric and may be embellished with stiching (hand or machine) or ribbons or beads or fibers or anything else you can think of. Lately I have been using petals from fabric flowers as embellishments. Whatever you can think of, please post pictures of your creations or the creations you receive on your flickr page if you have one. When rating please be thoughtful of the person who sends to you. They will have spent their time to make a special quilt based upon their tastes. If it is not your style but they put in lots of work you should consider a heart. A little fairy told me it is the thought that counts. Thanks so much Linda |
