WTL: Washi Bookmarks

Almost every profile I have read on Swap Bot features a section about favorite books, so obviously a LOT of people read! For this swap we will make one bookmark for one partner using our favorite element: WASHI TAPE!! :)

These can be as simple or elaborate as you like, just make sure it is something you would enjoy seeing sticking out of your own book! This swap is not profile based, but if you like, you can certainly make something based on your partner's profile. Just make sure before you send it would not be offensive to them.

Some ideas might be:

• Various shapes

• Weaving of different kinds of tape

• Punches or die cuts made of washi tape (you have to put them on a piece of card stock to punch them, but you can sure get a lot of different shapes that way!)

• Whatever else your wild imagination can conjure up!

Make sure your bookmark additions are fastened to the base securely--either with glue beneath the tape and other embellishments, or clear packing tape over the entire surface. Remember, these are going to be placed inside a book, so make sure the surface is not sticky, and that the bookmark is thin so it doesn't damage the spine.

When you send, include a note with your bookmark with the swap name, your username and the date. You can put this information on the bookmark if it is neat and not too obvious.
