Description:

If you have young children, this swap is for you and them!! This is also an international swap!

Note: This swap is meant for members with young children, ages 3-8, let’s say. I don’t really mean to be exclusionary, and if I upset anyone, please accept my apologies, but I want to safe guard the children and their info as much as possible.

I know this swap is a little late getting set up, but it is born out of the little one in our house complaining that she never gets mail. I remember when I was a kid I got Christmas cards from my Godmother, a favorite aunt and even a friend of my mom’s. Then when I was old enough, I had pen pals all over the world and I got tons of mail from all of them. More than my folks did at times. It was always a thrill to receive an envelope addressed to me! These days, we tend to send a card to the whole family. Let’s bring a little cheer (and mail) to a child somewhere!

The exchange is with 3 partners, so you will send out 3 cards and your child will receive 3 cards. You can make or buy the cards, but Please Remember to keep the cards child appropriate. Have your child sign the card, and if you want you could send a little coloring page or maybe a short letter from your child to the recipient. You may include stickers or a small flat toy, to fit in the envelope, if you like, again, making sure that they are child appropriate.

Please leave your child’s name (FIRST NAME ONLY) and their age in the comment section below, so that the partners can know, so they can send accordingly. If your child’s name does not clearly indicate that they are boy or girl, please list that as well. (The name Sydney, for instance, can be male or female.) The card should be addressed to the child’s first name, then underneath their name, ‘c/o’ and the member’s name and address. (You can also just write the child’s name on the envelope, place that envelope into a bigger one and mail it all to the parent member.)

OK! Have I covered everything?? Again, I know this is a short time span from sign up to send out, but let’s try and see what we get. I know most of us have a spare Christmas card, or 2 or 3, lying around. If all goes well, maybe we can do this again next month with a different theme, or maybe even exchange coloring pages. If fact, I will go set one up for next month! Happy Holidays, everyone!!
