Description:

There have been some swaps where you send something to your partner's loved one who is curious or jealous about swapping and sending and receiving stuff from people they don't know. Often these partners are mentioned as "husbands" or "boyfriends", as people tend to think most swappers here are heterosexual women. This swap is different from those: you, as well as your partner, can be women, men, anything from between or none of the previous. It's enough if you're human and consider each other partners. You can be married or not, live together or in separate addresses, whatever, if you just feel you belong together.

In this swap you are to send 3-5 items to your swap partner's partner. To know what to send, each participant must list a few of their spouse's fields of interest in the swap comments. You can list general interests, like "anything sailing themed" or "sweets", and more detailed interests, like "World of Warcraft" or "Skittles", favourite colours, and whatever you think your spouse would like and what would make it easier for your swap partner to choose things to send.

The budget should be something like 7€ / £6 / $9 excluding postage but it's more about sending something that would make the recipient happy.

Make it useful. The spouses aren't necessarily craft people or know stuff that are elementary to us, so they e.g. might not know what an ATC is or have any use for them. Think outside the craft box, so to say :-) Handmade items are welcome though if it's something that otherwise fits.

If you think it matters, you may mention if your partner is male or female, but you don't need to. Let's not mention people's names here or list separate addresses in the comments. After all, it's about people who haven't knowingly listed their names and addresses here. You send the stuff to your swap partner and they give them on to their spouses. Just add the name of this swap on the envelope so they know which swap this is for.

Add a note to your partner's partner where you tell what this swap is about.

To participate, you need to have done at least five Type 3 swaps. No unexplained or recent 3 or 1 ratings, contact me if you have something to explain. This is an international swap so be prepared to send to other parts of the world. Although this isn't about you, please have a well filled profile so I know you are serious about swapping.

My partner is male. He is interested in fishing and hunting, cooking, sweets, fantasy movies, books and gaming (e.g. LOTR, Forgotten Realms stuff with dark elves and Drizzt Do'Urden), coffee, action films, superheroes (Wolverine and such), paranormal stuff (we're watching Fringe on Netflix), quiz type board games (we play different versions of Trivial Pursuit a lot)...

Yay! Thank you for this swap!

LIKES: The love of my life likes: plain dark chocolate, unflavored green tea (preferably loose leaf), Bernese mountain dogs, bicycling, running (marathons), outdoorsy activities (especially hiking - small inexpensive hiking or camping equipment would be super cool!), protein bars, sport drink mix sachets, Buff (or any other brand, she has a cheap taste :D ) tube scarves... She likes the colors blue, orange, black and pink.

DISLIKES: She does not like grape, cinnamon or cherry flavors She doesn't do crafts and she doesn't do penpalling; she doesn't like ephemera, stickers, anything too girly, jewellery, postcards/notecards (except if there is a photo of a Bernese Mountain dog)

Will there be a US Only swap like this?(:

UrsaMinor 10/ 1/2013 #

Kaylahenry13, feel free to set up one yourself. I don't live in the States so I can't do USA only swaps.

Wonderful swap! My hubby has his birthday on November 6 and I think that will be an awesome surprise :)!

My partner is a male. He's a very well educated person who studied ancient greek and latin and loves both, currently he is studying computer science and is very fond of math. He also loves computers a lot and everything to do with them. He loves programming. His favourite colour is blue. Aside from all those likes, he also really loves LEGO (and has a collection). He likes Linux.

He LOVES Japan and everything Japanese. He loves the culture and language and pretty much everything from there. He loves Anime also.

He doesn't like anything to do with crafting because he's not good at it, he doesn't like liquorice.

If you want to know more about him, you can pm me :).

Addition: about the Buff-type tube scarves, she would be really happy with those free advertisement or company freebie tube scarves too :)

My partner is male. He loves the the colors black and red. He loves action movies, candy, cats, metal/ DnB. He's not into girly stuff, so no paper crafts. Don't send any nudity or anything close to it or I won't be so happy. :p

You can always PM if you have more questions. ^_^

My partner is male. He is a computer engineering, he loves programming, technology and playing games. He doesn't like crafts, postcards, stamps, washi tape or cute things like I do. He is more the opposite, but he enjoys when I receive cute swaps, hehe.

He LIKES: * Reading in English. He is now enjoying Warhammer 40k. He also likes fantasy, rol games books, videogames news, zombies and some sci-fi. This kind of books, novels, magazines, etc. can be used / second-handed (not too damaged) since it's just for reading :) * Chocolate: in bars, in snacks, in candies... He prefer it with milk and something inside (fruits, nuts, caramel, air bubbles...) * Tea: his favourite is with any forest fruit, specially raspberry. * Japan & Korea: he loves Japanese and Korean food & snacks. * Food: he loves food and try new things from different countries. Also he likes to cook dishes with new ingredients from overseas. * Salty Snacks: he also likes salty snacks like crisps, crackers... * Socks for walking around home, with those gummy points under them, size Europe 44. * Trance music like Joni Ljungqvust, Mat Zo, Jaytech, Three Drives, Gareth Emery, Orjan Nielsen, Benz... He used to spinned original vinyls LPs at home. He also listens hard rock like Alter Bridge or Danko Jones.

He DISLIKE: * Rooibos tea * Licorice flavour * Anise flavour

If you have doubts or questions just PM me :)

My boyfriend... - is a computer engineer, too. ;) He's a linux fanboy and commited to open source software and open data. - likes to play computer games with the guys. At the moment they're into Borderlands 2. He loved the Warhammer 40k-series and also reads the books. - likes zombies and comics. Preferably combined but not necessarily. ;) - is in training for triathlon, reading a lot of related magazines and is often on the road with his racer. (Some tipps, recipes or supplements (e.g. power bars) would be appreciated.) - cooks and likes to test new recipes. - enjoys calligraphy and wants to learn it. - reads a lot of blogs related to this topics and likes to watch videos/movies about bicycling around the world. - wishes for some knitted socks but I am not experienced enough to do some. - likes (loose) green and black tea.

PM me if you have any questions. :)
