Description:

The November 2013 Fandom in a Mini Bag swap is the Hunger Games.

Step 1: Please list in the comments your favorite characters, seasons, districts, moments, or any other preference you may have.

Step 2: After partners are assigned, check to see what your partner likes. You can follow-up with a message if you need to know more. Then scrounge up, buy, and/or create items that fit in a bag. Your bag must contain at least 5 different types of items although more is certainly encouraged to make your bag look full of goodies.

Some ideas of themed items: stickers, ATCs, postcards, toys/action figures, comics, note cards, pins/buttons, magnets, jewelry, trading cards, legal music CDs, charms, ornaments, bookmarks, address labels, plushies/stuffies, promo stills/autograph cards, fanfic drabbles/ficlets, etc.

More specific ideas: Hunger Games survival kit, a little package with a white parachute, a mockingjay pin, a white rose, a charm bracelet with charms representing each district, etc.

Be sure to check your partner's profile so you don't send anything he or she might be allergic to.

Step 3: Put the items in a ziplock-type bag. Size: 1 quart (AT LEAST 8.5inches by 7 inches or 21.5cm by 18cm). You can decorate the bag or incorporate the bag into something (mount it or sew something around it). If you want to make or buy a bag instead of using a ziplock plastic one, that's fine as well, but it should be at least a quart in size. All items you gather or create should fit into the bag (if a couple are too big, that's fine).

Assemble your bags during the month of November and please send by the deadline (December 2)

Group rating rules apply. NO FLAKING ALLOWED! Flakers will be sent straight into the arena.

I love: Katniss, Gale, Peeta, Rue, Finnick (LOVE FINNICK!!!!), Annie, Prim, Buttercup the cat, and Haymitch (I love how he falls to pieces but still manages to help out... and I love his vulnerability). In the movie, I ADORE Cinna. The movie was great, but Cinna totally made it for me. The first book is my favorite--I love it. I really like the arena settings (so I wasn't so fond of the third book when it broke out of that structure). I really like the world overall--all the districts and the Capitol. I do already have an awesome map of Panem that my partner made for me in the last swap, and I have a lot of ATCs already. But I'm pretty much open to anything. Message me if you have any questions!

I love Katniss & Peeta... Gale is such a strong character that did not get enough spotlight in the 1st film in my opinion.
I look fwd to Catching Fire and will be attending the midnight showing and hope this director does a better job with representing. I loved Rue and the lullaby.
Cinna, oh, Cinna... he is perfectly represented by Lenny Kravitz, which happens to be my last name, too! Finnick's character is a good one. I really love how he played out in the books. haha I love high quality ATC's with minimal stickers. I am open for anything, because I just love this series.

I loved the Hunger Games books very much - a little more than the film, so far, I'd say. However, I preferred the first and second book. I found the idea of the games themselves intriguing, it has that horror component, that made it really sort of weird. So, everything about the games themselves and the weirdness of the capitol and the arena would make me happy. My favourite character by far is Haymitch. I love messed up characters and he certainly is one!!! I do like Katniss and Peeta, of course I do, but they sometimes are too smooth for me. Haymitch is really rough and really edgy and I like that. I actually cut out the whole romance thing a little, because the triangle story and Peetah loosing his real memories was a little too much for me towards the end. So, I prefer the action component of the books (and the film) versus the love story. Now, may the odds be ever in your favour! ... and let's look forward together to "Catching Fire".

One of my absolute favorites is Haymitch, both in the book and excellently played in the movie. I also like Cinna. Katniss and Peeta always surprised me through all the books, but I came to terms with it in the end. I just had my hopes set for Gale to win Katniss. Prim is such a strong character, and I think it's the strength of her older sister and lack of strength from her mother that made her that way. Rue is definitely one of my favorites, as are all of District 11 when they give the sign to Katniss for treating Rue so well in life and death and for becoming so strong and defiant. I look at the districts and Capitol as a character itself - how it used to be a place called America and how the destruction and rebellion created recognizable districts. Oddly enough, I've long thought that I'm in a minority in that my favorite of the books was Mockingjay. I look at that book as the culmination of all that happens, of the rebellious spirit of Katniss that grows through the district people and how it ends with the world a better place. I'm open to anything from the books or the movie, though - I really loved it all!
