Description:

I did this series of swaps years ago, and it was a lot of fun, so I've decided to do it again; only this time it will be a bit more challenging. By the end of the swap series everyone should have a fun recipe book!

You will send a hand made postcard with a recipe that starts with the letter on the back instead of a note; and decorate the front with the name of your recipe and and a picture (hand drawn, collaged, or cut-n-pasted; your choice), of it on the front. It doesn't have to be anything super fancy, as long as you put some thought into it and it looks nice! It can be a recipe for anything, ie: soup, dessert, cocktails, a main dish, whatever you want, but it must start with the letter of the swap.

The postcard MUST be 4"x6", and hand made!

Since this is the beginning of an ongoing series of swaps, the first letter of course will be "A", (ie: Artichoke Dip. Apple Pie, Avocado Tacos etc), I'm sure you get the idea! You can "cheat" and do something like Carol's Pea Soup, if you absolutely can't find a recipe starting with the letter of the week but let's try to keep those at a minimum!

You will send one (1) postcard each to two (2) partners.

Please mail the postcard in an envelope so that the complete recipe can be written on it and can be easily read.

This swap is open to US swappers only. Newbies who have

Don't forget to put the name of the swap and your name on the postcard so your partner can rate you!!

*One last note. The alphabet idea is just to give us a direction. If you miss a few or if we've already started and you didn't start with us, don't be afraid to start up.

I love your idea! Does the front of the card just have the letter "A" on it, or is it the name of the recipe like "Avocado Dip" with a drawing? Or do you want just the letter only?

I think that the name of your recipe and a picture (hand drawn, collaged, or cut-n-pasted however you choose to do it), that represents it would make a nice looking postcard!

The wonderful thing about these 4x6 cards is that notches can be cut in the bottom of them so they fit in the ROLODEX Holders ;-) There are some for sale on ebay if anyone else likes this idea ;-) Go to my profile and see the sizes & style # to look up if you are interested;-) Blessings, cc

Mine are ready to go- I can send a photo if need be- but with the holidays and my university not doing mail on Saturdays I can't mail them until Tuesday because of the holiday. I am so so sorry! Hopefully this doesn't get me kicked off the site, but again I send pictures as they are done, I just forgot about our university's mail room hours and the holiday weekend
