Description:

You will have 2 partners to send a lovely happy mail art! There is a twist, as usual in all of my swaps ;) so please read below!

You must handcraft an envelope or decorate a pre-made envelope with paintings, drawings, stickers, embellishments, washi tape, scribbles, doodles, ink, glitter, whatever you can find and have. However it must fit a themes below.

Partner #1 themes: WORDS/TEXT & YELLOW. It doesn't count if you include something of these themes IN your envelope, this has to be ON the mail art itself.

  • Words/text such as quotes, text cut-outs from magazines, alphabet letters, write your partners address on the front really big & decorative, lyrics, old book pages, get creative!
  • Anything the colour yellow (the envelope itself, art on the envelope, etc)

Partner #2 themes: STICKERS & PURPLE. - Any stickers (please don't cover the envelope in sticker slaps. Do other art, too). - Anything the colour purple (the envelope itself, art on the envelope, etc)

You have to use both. You can write the word "yellow" in a yellow pen, and think it's fine. If you are using a pre-made envelope please make sure it is all covered.

Every single detail on your mail art doesn't have to ALL match the themes, as long as it is obvious you have stuck to the themes and not made it random or senders choice. Must have a least a few things on it that stick to the themes.

The mail art itself is the big focus of this swap. Handmade envelopes are very well encouraged. You are not required to include anything IN the envelope other than a short note with your swapbot name & ID , etc however it is always nice to include a small surprise (stickers, card, memo sheet) or perhaps a note on how you found this swap?

Although I'm not looking for experts as I'm not one myself, I encourage everyone to get creative and have a go at this with no pressure of it being amazing etc. Please don't rate on whether or not you LIKED your partners mail art but on how much effort they put into it and if it sticks to the theme. This being said, please don't send trash, and don't sticker slap. Create something you're proud of and would want to receive yourself, you're making art after all.

I am keeping rating quite high, no unrated users, high number of swaps completed, active dashboard etc. You must have a good rating and no recent bad ratings, but I'll be checking profiles anyway.

I want to see good efforts and nice, happy mail art. Most of all, have fun. :)

I don't have enough ratings to join this yet but it sounds so lovely. Please do another one at some point when I have enough hearts to join.
