Up for a fun challenge? For this swap you will have 1 partner and to that partner you will send a mail art challenge in the form of an envelope with a small flat surprise inside!

Mail art envie must measure at least 4.5 X 6" (or larger). The challenge is that you must incorporate any 6 of the 12 elements listed below.

Choose at least 6 elements from this list:

  • a bird

  • a sea creature

  • something pink

  • something green

  • a piece of music

  • an empty tea wrapper (the paper envelope the bag was in)

  • a used postage stamp

  • text of some kind (magazine, book, other)

  • a flower

  • a heart

  • something with a face (cat, puppet, fish, person)

  • an architectural element (door, window, gate)

In the envelope, you will include a small flat surprise. It can be inexpensive, but put a little thought into it and make it nice for your partner :)

You must include a little note detailing which 6 items you chose, and your envelope must have actual postage stamps to mail instead of a printed label.

Swap Recap

  • Create a mail art envelope with at least 6 elements from the list
  • Include a small flat surprise for your partner
  • Include a note listing the 6 elements you chose
  • Use actual postage stamps to mail, not printed postage label

Be sure to include your swap-bot name and the swap info.

Let's have fun creating mail art!

Is an empty tea wrapper the actual tea bag? Or is it the envelope the tea bag is in? Sorry if this is a silly question.

@seekingjoytoday no such thing as a silly question :) I am referring to the envelope that the tea bag came in. In my sample, I used the paper envelope from a Tazo tea bag :)
