Perhaps you're like me? I don't seem to have much trouble getting swaps done and sent, but when it comes to personal projects that I'm working on, they have a tendency to linger in the Land of Partial Done-ness. So, if you're like me, maybe we could enlist swap-bot's motivating magic to finish one of our own projects this summer and have some support as we do so! For this swap you will have 2 partners, and you will send each partner 2 letters: one (before June 30th) in which you describe a project you're trying to complete, and another one (by September 23rd) in which you describe how you and your project fared. Did you finish? Is so, how did it end up? If not, that's okay--how much progress did you make? Letters should be sent by regular post, not email; either handwritten or typed is fine. It doesn't matter what the project is: reading a book, painting a room, completing an art project, learning something new, etc. Any activity is fine as long as it's something you'd like to finish! The sign-up deadline is the summer solstice, and the send deadline is after the autumnal equinox, so we have the whole season as measured by the sun to work toward our goal. Let's support one other in our endeavors! Though, of course, the hope for the swap is that we all finish something, when you rate your partners for this swap, please focus on whether or not you received 2 letters from each one. It may be that despite all good intentions a partner may not have finished the project--that's alright as long as the partner wrote 2 letters and in the last one discussed what progress was made on the project. Other details: 1) This is an international swap. 2) No swappers without ratings; sorry. 3) Swappers with a rating below 4.95 will be dropped before partners are assigned. (I'm setting a high threshold here because of the long-term nature of the swap.) Okay, I'm using too many words--I'm going to stop writing and start finishing. I hope you'll join in! |
