Description:

Okay...I've been wanting to try Hardanger...so I am a complete beginner at this. The requirements are going to be kind of loose and very sender's choice!

requirement: Make for your one partner a stitchery using Hardanger. Minimum size, at least 3 inches in the longest direction. If it isn't finished, be sure to leave 1-3 inches border.

If you want to finish it into an ornament or doily or something hardanger seems to lend itself with already finished edges. (see image) Image is from the blog The Southpaw Stitcher

It can be just hardanger or you can include cross stitch, needlepoint, embroidery, whatever the sender wishes.

When I search the internet I do find a lot of resources so if you've never given this a try, but have the time and desire, join in! If you're experienced, join us anyway :-)

Some links in our own forum about hardanger including some helpful links Hardanger discussion

I'm giving both a long sign up time and a long send time, just in case.

Here is a lacemaking swap I hosted a couple of years ago with some Hardanger (and other) resources: http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/113603

Thanks!

I am so sorry to skip this swap, but because I have to go to hospital several times next month I am really affraid that I won't have enough time to do some hardanger (it would be my first hardanger stitching ever, so a lot to find out haha).

If there is a new hardanger swap I will be in!

I really like the idea of this swap, but I know it will take me way more than a month to learn this and produce something decent for my partner.

@inamerica8 if I end up enjoying it I'll host more in the future!

Sounds good! and maybe by some miracle I will have enough time to finally learn this. :)
