Description:

First, choose a book to use as our junk journal. An old atlas, dictionary, or whatever suits your purpose. This book will become the place you add the goodies you receive in these swaps.

Each round you will send your partner an envie of goodies that they will in turn collage into their junk journal. Not every piece has to be used, but no additional pieces are allowed to be used.

You can add paint, stamps, ink, etc, but no other papers outside of what you receive.

Not every swap has to be just one page... Spread it out, use it how you wish.

I thought this group would be the perfect place to have a series of swaps for this. I totally hijacked the idea from @iamrushmore s blog!

I want to run this series once every 3-4 weeks. Seeing everyone's pages in the Flickr group would be awesome! :)

Edited to add: the pieces you receive may be altered, ie: cut up, painted, inked, etc... They do not have to be used as is.

Great idea, Shannon, but can you be a bit more specific: how many rounds do you anticipate doing? I'm just wondering about how many pages my junk book needs to have... And do we rate our partner, on receipt of the envie of goodies?

Gee, sorry Fi! I didn't scroll down the page enough to see your question. The plan is to do a series of swaps. You will rate your partner after each swap and we can keep it going as long as it remains fun! You can join any round and sign up for just a few or all of them. :)

I edited this swap to allow for extra time since I never saw Fi's question.. Sign up date extended by two days and send by date also extended. :)

OMG, I have no idea what I am getting myself into, but I'd like to give it a go. Can we try to limit the size of the book and/or the amount of items sent to minimize postage prices (just a thought; not trying to manage your swap, since I'm clueless about what it entails, never having done one!!)? I'm thinking of you too, Shannon, since I hear your postal prices just skyrocketed?

Gina, absolutely! I will leave the book size up to each person..they can then opt to "assign" certain pages for this and others for whatever... But to keep it fair, we can set a guideline at a 6x9 envie, kept somewhat flat .. Not sure about your postal cost for something like that but it should be doable here .. Then we can see for future swaps??

I chose an old hardcover book in German that I found at the local swap/recycle shed. It measures about 5.5 x 7.5 I think... I also have an old atlas that is pretty cool but its much bigger so I'm on the fence about it..:)
