How about a handmade Kawaii swap for something usable? :)

For this swap you will have ONE partner. For that partner you will make a little Kawaii themed stationery set. All items must be decorated with Kawaii images (you can use sticker flakes but they can't the SOLE decoration used). Print images from the web, cut images from memo sheets, sticker flake packages, etc. Some little bling things (rhinestones, etc.) might be fun!

  • Minimum of two sheets of stationery (at least 4x6 in size) - decorated
  • Minimum of one envelope to fit / go with the stationery sheets - decorated
  • Minimum of one notecard (any size) - decorated
  • Minimum of one envelope to fit / go with the notecard - decorated
  • Minimum of 25 Kawaii sticker flakes
  • Minimum of one postcard - decorated on at least one side

Optional items (just ideas, not required):

  • Address labels (with partner's name and address)
  • Mailing labels (with "to" to put on envelopes or packages)
  • Pen and/or pencil
  • Folder to hold the stationery set
  • Postage stamps
  • Bookmark

Sender's choice so you can start now but feel free to check your partner's profile. Do your best work - create a stationery kit that you would love to receive and use!

Please post any questions you have below so that everyone can see them - thanks!

Neat idea! :)

Thank you @Lila84 !

I was thinking (while not being able to sleep last night) that I needed to clarify this a little bit. You can use anything you want to decorate your stationery set. You can hand draw Kawaii images, cut images out of something, use deco tape, use sticker flakes, etc. You are not limited to cutting out images (my description might have led you to think that). THANKS!!

Pattie - I'm planning on doing lots of cut-outs from memo pads... and maybe some deco or washi tape if I have any on hand in the right colors. I had really hoped to have started by now but maybe after the visitation and funeral I will be more in the mood.

(;;) I misread the instructions (too much work, too little sleep!) & didn't realize that entire list of minimums would be due. (><) I know April is jam packed like crazy & have to withdraw. I hope I can do something like this another day, when I have more free time. X's & O's to all of you!

@LauraAust what do you mean with notecard? Like a mini memo sheet? And does everything hast to be cut out and glued? Can I create designs on my computer and print them?

Tina,

I stole this from another group:

•A notecard (NC) can be any mailable size, is folded (usually in half but there are many variations), and mailed in a separate envelope.
•A correspondence card can be any mailable size and is a single sheet of unfolded paper mailed in a matching envelope.
•A postcard is just like a correspondence card except it is mailed "naked" (no envelope).
•A postalette or self-folding letter can be any mailable size and self-folds (becomes its own envelope - there is no separate envelope). There are commercially made ones and many variations online to do it yourself.

In my mind a notecard is heavy - like cardstock. It folds and goes inside an envelope. It is like a birthday or Christmas card but is blank inside.

I'm sure if you Google images of "notecard' you will see many variations. But no, it's not a Kawaii memo sheet.

You can print things from your computer - you can hand draw - you can cut and paste - you can use sticker flakes - you can embellish already printed stationery and notecards, etc.

Does this answer your questions?
