This is the third round of this U.S.A. swap. @tizzicat began the U.K. version of the series. With her permission, I'll be posting the U.S. version. This is a U.S.A. only swap - sorry, but as we are sending real books, the postage will be prohibitive to make it worldwide. The swap: Scour your local thrift, charity or book shops and find a book with the title beginning with the letter C. (I.e., "City of Glass" or "Cross Currents" is fine). Aim for one that begins with the actual C, instead of something that begins with The, A or An (such as "The Cabinet of Curiosities"). We found in Round 1, that this was actually a little tougher than it might seem. So, while you're looking for your C book, keep an eye out on a D book, because that comes next! :) Buy said book and package it up for your partner. You do not have to read the book (unless you want to, of course). It can be registered with bookcrossing.com if you wish, but not necessary. Depending on the book you send, it may be cheaper to send via Media Mail rather than USPS first class. Check with your post office or use a postal scale. 4.85 or higher rating. Newbies allowed with a completed profile. Snail mail. U.S.A. International swappers: Please feel free to post a version from your country. Let me know and I'll link to it. Have fun! |
